There is no rebuilding with Harden. Even if we just miss out on the playoffs it will be with 35+ wins and it's probably more likely he drags the team to the playoffs no matter how bad.

Yep. Les will not let this team tank. If he wouldn't let the team tank when our best player was Kevin Martin and Chuck Hayes was our starting center, he certainly isn't letting us now, with Harden as our franchise player. We passed up on a 1st round pick to get our ass handed to use by an injured Warriors team. This is the reality. I still believe in Morey to be able to make the necessary moves to get some decent players, regardless of outcome of what happens with Anderson/Horford. Morey seems to win more trades than he loses.
If we strike out on Horford I would immediately offer Pau Gasol a one year full max contract (which is over 30+ million for him). Or maybe even a two year 50 million type of deal. Hell, even if we do sign Horford, I'd still go after Gasol. I know he probably wouldn't want to play here because we aren't serious title contender, and he doesn't like Mike D'Antoni, but perhaps $$overpaying$$ him will change his make him open to the idea. Dude still has lots of talent.
