I'm sorry. Managing a pizza chain does not qualify you to be president. Is there any indication that aside from the typical bumper sticker conservatism does he have a grasp of international affairs? How does he deal with others when he can't just fire them? How about economics? aside from a desire to run a pizza empire without regulations and he should win because he is a business guy, not a politician and therefore he could straighten the country out like he did the pizza biz? His solutions to America's problems seem as simplistic as those of Donald Trump. Everything is simple, he is HERMAN CAINE so no problem.
I've watched all the debates, and it's true I haven't noticed any flip flopping on his part. However, I feel like he does dodge questions, specifically by bringing up his 9-9-9 plan at every turn even when it's not particularly relevant to the question. In that way he feels a bit like a one-trick pony. But he does, more often that not, seem sure about his answers. Have to give him credit there.
Having run large national businesses, been the president of a national trade organization, the chairman of the board of directors of a branch of the federal reserve bank and spent time in the navy all around the time Obama graduated from Law School.
Romney-Cain to me would be an injector of confidence to those that actually employ that they finally have someone in the White House who understands what it takes to create jobs. If anyone can use the government to help (or stay out of the way in some cases) this plague of unemployment. Its these guys.
Of those people pointing out his flaws How many of you are Republicans? While I think many Democrats will have issues with him I think the question is more pointed to the Republicans in the group Rocket River
I seem to remember that Cain also b****ed about Romney's Mormonism during the summer. As someone who despised Huckabee for doing that so much, that's a red flag. Oh, and the Sharia thing.
Franky one of Obama's greatest problems is his relatively lack of experience. It would be greatly aggravated to have someone with no experience whatsover. I know a general conservative meme fed to Fox viewers and others is that government can do no good, business can do no wrong. Since government always screws up taxes should be cut back. (The wealthy types who push this meme don't tell the viewers that it is only the wealthy whose taxes will be cut substantially). I guess the logical conclusion is that any business guy could go a better job just because he is in business and has not been a politician.
He has no foreign policy experience. In fairness to him, how would he, he has never held a major or even somewhat important political office. He ran for the Senate and lost. He has been a very successful businessman and activist. He does not even have a rudimentary understanding of the constitution or the judicial system.
pizza will come!
Either you're unaware of his entire resume or you're discounting it based on the fact that he is running under the republican ticket because of your predisposed broad reaching opinions. We've had a 3+ year experiment with letting government try to fix things with a presidential candidate who had relatively no economic or foreign policy experience and things are in fact worse than they were. Based on his rhetoric at the time, I thought Obama was the man but the results of his efforts to this point can speak for themselves. I view government as in fact a business and we need real leadership, somebody who will treat it as a business and correct its expenses and revenues, and improve the long term viability of the organization for the good of the shareholder aka middle class tax payer.
Cain has an amazing biography. Grew up in segregated Georgia, got a degree in mathematics from Morehouse, Calculated balistics trajectories for the US Navy (some of the most complicated mathematics one can do). Masters in Computer Science. Yeah, he's inexperienced: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herman_Cain Not to mention hosting his own radio show in Atlanta. Guy is smarter and more accomplished than Obama or any of the GOP candidates. A true American success story. But of course, he can't answer Jeopardy questions about Palestine off the cuff two years before an election, so I guess he's unqualified.
He actually did answer that question, He said if obamacare was up the wait to have gotten in to be treated would have been too long of a wait. That the feds have to have everything on 'a schedule[/B]. They would have said 'ok you can be treated in 6 months, we can fit you in then' while in 6 months he would have been dead.
Oh no I liked Cain until I read this, the Federal Reserve is one of the most corrupt organizations that has raped our country
not the national Fed, the Kansas City branch lots of local Fed chairmen don't like what Bernanke is doing
