it aint that bad. just go on the weekend and avoid the club section. the corners and basket areas always have people cheering and weekends are just more fun. The problem with the club section fans is that very few of them are actually fans. They hardly cheer when we're winning and pick up a leave when we're not. I have seats right above the rockets tunnel (a corner) and my friends and I are always loud and always jumping out of our seats. Some people laugh at us, most just ignore us, but many actually join in (its about timing). Be as loud as you want, but keep the heckling to a minimum (if its not funny people get annoyed) , and no curse words. Have Fun! :)

Me and wife typically head down for about 6-8 games a season and we always sit in the same sections, 101 or 126.

There are time when the crowd could be better but for the most part it's a good time, I've been to a few different stadiums and I've always enjoyed the TC the most, even though most here dissagree.

Oh and the sections above are the best places to try and get autographs, you'll have to get to the stadium about 2 hrs before game time though since the ushers run everyone out about an hr before the game.

The Toyota Center is IMHO the best NBA venue.

As far as high ticket prices the Club Level will set you back yes but you can get great seats behind the goals and at the corners for a reasonable price. BTW good seats in pro sports venues are expensive.

As far as the crowd, yes the fans were "not rowdy" last year but with all the injuries that lead to the poor win-loss record you can see why.

I am in section 113 which is on the side of the arena with the Jack Daniels Bar which while not as nice as the club bar it is very nice and has a livley atmosphere before big games and during halftime.

My seats (18 rows from the floor) are $55 a ticket but for a single game ticket they are $60 just off the floor in my section is $85 (season ticket price) $95 single game.

Oh and for all the people who hate the Toyota Center because we have not won titles there like we did over at the church you need to think back to the days when the Rockets games were rocking (because we were winning) and the Astros games were dead (they were losing)

FYI-Houston is a football town it always has been and always will be so if the Rockets or Astros are going to create serious buzz they need to be winning

so, is anybody from the Rockets organization reading this? you guys need to do something with the corporate crowd. when they re-up on their season tickets send a memo on what to do at the games.

It has taken me about two years to decide, but I think I like the Summit better than TC. At the Summit I had season tickets upstairs all over the end zone. First directly behind the bask and finally in the corner. Somehow I always felt I was close to the action. Now I have season ticks downstairs on the corner and I always feel far away. When they assigned tickets the first year they had an overlay of the TC over the Summit that showed that my new downstairs seats are slightly further away than my old upstairs seats.

Leg space is horrible in my seats and the row is 22 seats long so I spend a lot of time getting up and letting people go past me. My seats at the Summit were only eight across.

I know the TC vidieo board and such is 'state of the art'. I guess that 'state of the art' is a french word for 'holds a lot of ads'. Lot of technology, but an impresivly small amount of information, well except for where to spend money after the game. Seripously, you get players name, number, points and fouls. No other individual stats except maybe at halftime. To get team numbers like turn overs and assists, you have to watch the small side boards cycle around. There is not even a hustle board.

Food was better at Summit also. I liked the Papas stuff. It was clearly overpriced, but the food was good. I used to get gumbo, fried shrimp and dring water from the fountain. It was about 15 bucks, but it was good. At TC all the food I have tried is pretty much just 'ballpark food'. I mean it is cool they have Chinese Food, but I tried it and it is just flat out bad Chinese. The top dollar Hoiuston Burger is fine for a ball park, but I would never order it at a restaurant.

Parking, I have had no problem at parking downtown on the street for free. But I preferred parking under cover for free at the laptop.

I guess in a lot of ways they are similar. But at the Summit I paid $17 and feel like I got a deal. Now I pay $35 and feel like I am overpaying. What can I say, a good game is easily worth it, a bad game is not. Too many bad games last year.

Oh! I LOVE the Red & White Bistro. I mean LOVE!!!!! It is $40 a head for the "chef's table" (buffet) to the rest of us. Great food, great variety and a stomach so stuffed I can't stand up to chear for about three days.

I totally agree about the lighting at Toyota Center. Just like the Compaq Center, it's terrible. But I think that it also has to do with the color scheme on the floor. The wood is kind of orange-ish. I'm not a fan of the way the basketball court looks in person. And I hate the way it looks on television. They really need to get with it and change the wood in the floor to a lighter shade of yellow and get a better lighting system.
