The drama isn't over. It's been ratcheted up to another level. Like stated in the OP, it will be interesting if this surgery doesn't happen immediately if Me-Mac shows his mug on the bench at home games. If not, what will be the reason? 5th/6th/7th opinions?

Probably not now, with Tmac in the mix they had an ample supply of wings, but taking him out, it severly weakens that position - well in theory. One thing to note though Doc, if they don't trade Artest, they risk losing him for nothing, and that would mean we lost 2 first round picks for about a 2/3rds year rental. That would be shockingly bad asset management, so he still may go. However, if the team can actually trade Tmac....then WOW...Morey will be elevated to Golden Calf. DD
As an avid Rockets fan and season ticket holder, I hate Tmac now. I use to be one of his biggest fans but my team comes first. Morey better unload his sorry ass.

Sign and trade, maybe? Whatever Artest wants it'll be 10million less than McGrady makes and the MOMENT that the 2009-2010 season starts - McGrady is a GOLDMINE for the Rockets. Only trade him now if you get a player that you COVET not one that fills a hole... McGrady's value will still go up BIG time after the season. As for the Rockets, I would not eliminate them just yet. I would be willing to bet that this may indeed be exactly what kicks everything off. Keep your eyes on the Rox - I think this may be the beginning for us!
