That was one of the BEST thing's I've ever read!
One could be number 1 (tmac, baron, jackson). Hmmm BEST like Travis BEST from Georgia Tech? Didn't Marbury also play at Georgia Tech. Trading Tmac for Marbury to get the Knicks in a better position for 2010?

I honestly think TMAC is just pissed off at the whole management team. I would be too. I honestly believe he is looking at the Suns organization and wondering why that organization was willing to sit down with their two players Nash and Amare and discuss whether it was the coach or not. I am honestly tired of Rick Adleman and ready to call the Rockets Adleman experiment a bust. This team was once a beast on the defensive end and it is now just a joke. Bring Van Gundy BACK !!!!

OMG, are you kidding me, that is part of Tmac's problem he thinks he should be involved, and the reality is that he should not be involved.

He has not earned that right.

Surgery or not, I am done with him and do not want him anywhere near the Rockets ever again.

What are you talking about? The Rockets have shown the last 2 games that they can still have their defensive identity. Now that Mac is out, this team can focus and playing and winning.

They are a much better team without him.

I never wanted JVG to leave. I love a defense-first mentality.

Also, if nothing happens by the deadline, some people around here are gonna be PISSED at Doc Rocket haha

I agree. But if we had the real TMAC, this team would be unstoppable....but anyways...

I asked you earlier how good you objectively thought this current Rockets team is. Do you feel they can honestly beat anyone in a 7 game series?

    Thoughts?

Are you insane? You basically suggested TMAC should ask the management team to fire the coach because we do not play defense? TMAC wants us to focus more on defense???

the interesting part about Doc's post is the comparison to Marbury, which is exactly what I was thinking T-Mac is doing, taking the (elective) surgery vs. playing for the team, all as a message to his teammates and coaches that he is not happy. this will only hurt T-Mac's already shaky legacy in the league as a quitter. I never would have said that about him until now. Now I hope people will see Staph Marbury in the same light- a selfish quitter who quit on his team, and the situation he is in is on HIM, not his team and its management.

No they wouldn't because Tracy is too much about Tracy and not enough about team, he is like the guy at the gym that is uber talented but no one wants to play with him because he slacks off all over the court unless he has the ball.

The rest of the team defers to him because he is so talented but at the end of the day when the chips are down he can't get it done by himself and doesn't trust his teamates enough to do it either, so the team fails.

This team is better without ANY version of Tmac.

I do, I think this team is good enough as is to win without Tracy......

I do think to win a championship things would have to break very well for them but they would be up there just behind LA and San Antonio in the WC as is.

I would still pursue trades, especially for TMac....if there are any out there.

lol I know. I was just thinking that Martin fits that star-but-not-quite player that Feigan reported the Rockets are going after.

Tracy averages too high in the assists category to be considered a selfish basketball player.

Ah, the old casual observation, that is not what I am talking about.

It is letting others make the decisions and passing the ball to them so they can create as well, not being the ONLY one making the pass or decision.

That is what makes him selfish.....and not a team player.

Morey: Tracy, I want to hear from you about what you think we might be able to do to right the ship.

McGrady: THANK YOU! Look, you've all been frustrated with my situation and how I've dealt with it, but this wouldn't be a problem at all anymore if you replaced Adelman.

Morey: Really? That would solve your situation?

McGrady: Yes sir, absolutely. Bring in a real coach with the sense and authority to nail me to the bench if I only have or only give 60% and this whole season goes far smoother.

Well I don't agree he is a selfish player but the assumption can be made he makes the team much much worse w/ our winning record when he is not on the court.

Keep She-Mac away from the locker room & Marbury him like Doc said.
