You've surpassed my cynicism. GS has no chance of making the playoffs.

"Houston would have traded Tracy McGrady for Carter, but McGrady's announcement that he'll have season-ending microfracture surgery killed those chances."

this was on ESPN's latest trade chatter...does this mean the deal was a go?? It sounds like the deal was set to go through and the only thing that messed it up was tmac's announcement....i know we've speculated that's why he did it, but this seems to confirm it..

You guys obviously have it ALL wrong. Check it out:

Fox = "crazy like a fox"

In this passage, he deftly uses the word "why" eight times. There's an old card game called -- you got it -- CRAZY Eights.

Doc Rocket is warning us not to underestimate T-Mac's intelligence. He may SEEM crazy, but he's crazy like a FOX!

"Pissed" -- slang for urine. As in "YOU'RE IN trouble when T-Mac is healthy again!" :(

    "pu$$" = PU money = MONEY STINKS!

Obviously, T-Mac cares nothing whatsoever about money; he's in it for the love of the game and his desire to please the fans.

Now here's where it gets REALLY interesting. The two words in that paragraph that Doc Rocket capitalized are "TMAC" and "WHEN" -- combine and re-arrange those letters and you have "WATCHMEN." And everyone knows that the graphic novel and upcoming movie coincidentally called "The Watchmen" is set in New York City!

Is Doc Rocket telling us that crazy-like-a-fox T-Mac is trying to force a trade to the Knicks?!? Let's sift through the rest of the evidence.

Wait! "Friday" twice! Joe Friday was one of the detectives in "Dragnet" -- which was set in Los Angeles! The Lakers enter the possibly trade scenario!

Shane+Yao+Alston, re-arranged, is: Analyse An Shoot

Well, there goes the Knicks, 'cause D'Antoni's players don't analyze anything before they shoot. Looks like it's the Lakers.

Unless, of course, Shane+Yao+Alston is actually "Soothes Any Anal" or "Anyone Shat Also" -- you're on your own on those two.

Take all the capitalized words in that paragraph, throw out the duplicate letters, and you come out with these anagrams:

    Trends Of Achy Limp

    Faced Monthly Rips

    Felt Phony, Id Scram

T-Mac is hurt by the fans ripping him for his "injury" and feels like a phony, so he decides to get out of town!!!!!!

I believe the above passage to be a thinly veiled threat from Doc Rocket.

Buried in the above passage is the name of the Laker player T-Mac things we should take in return. I don't want to solve EVERYTHING for you guys, but I'll give you a hint: Accused of rape.

An anagram of "sincerely" is "nicer lyes."

    Ha! Good one, Doc Rocket!

This seems to be a reference to the Priory of Sion, the "real" power behind the Knights Templar. My guess is that Doc is saying that McGrady is The Unholy One and the team should go along with his desire to be traded to the Lakers, just to get rid of him.

So there you have it. Now what exactly was so hard about that?

Not this one in particular. He's had some in the past where he's dropped some hints but this one seems pretty cut and dry to me. People for some reason begin to disect his post for anything that looks supicious.

Wow, that was crazy and reaching.

The reason he used "Fox Mulder" is because Mulder from X-Files was a conspiracy theorist. He was saying he was going to play conspiracy theorist for a second. But I want to know if there was something more to it.

The eternal TMac fan, are we....?

All I got from his post is that T-mac and the Front Office are at odds and he will most likely be dealt in the off-season.

Which I thought was common sense anyway.

There was talk about a Artest For Cater deal. Was T-Mac concerned about having to play with his cousin again? Did he deep-six the trade by faking an injury or threatening to have surgery because did not want to play with Vince again?

Doc Rocket just said he was not doing to Cali and Les issued a statement a day or two ago that they were not going to trade him. It is odd for an owner to come out and say they are not going to trade a player. Why even make that statement, and why is it even necessary.

Obviously the Rockets organization (especially Adelman) was completely blown away and caught off guard about the statement T-Mac issued about regarding his injury situation. Even if T-Macs injury is more severe than what has been disclosed to the public, by the reaction the organization had, I think it would be safe to say that it they did not believe it was so severe that it required immediate Micro-Fracture surgery.

It has been reported in the past that TMAC and Vince had a falling out after their Toronto days, but TMAC stated they had reconciled things. Did they really patch things up or was it just talk? T-Macs relationship with Carter had deteriorated to the point where he felt he could not play with his cousin and thus left Toronto.

Whatever the reason for T-Mac’s actions, if any part of T-Mac statement is false or misrepresents the truth, T-Mac just made a huge financial and legal meSS for himself. He is clearly a person that is not able to control his emotions, and it would not surprise me if he did something stupid because his feelings got hurt and did not think things through.

    Agreed.

He would know how everyone in the locker room has turned on an injured player too.

    Nice idea.

He acknowledged Rafer as a leader. That was good enough for me.

Man, I wish we had traded him to Sac for Salmons.

I would do a trade for BD or Maggette in a heart beat!

I just want this guy out of here.

To think of all the times I have defended his ass on this board and to friends.

To think of all the excitement of a possible title when we acquired him.

To think that I can't even stand to look at his autographed jersey framed in my room.

Not only is he a constant loser, but he is a sore loser that screwed the Rockets possible playoff push this year!

I would trade his ass for a bag of Lays and two ball boys. Get his ass off the team!

The Rockets will not make a major trade at the deadline.

"Back" to Cali is interesting. Is Ron going back? Do we have any current rockets that were born in or played college in Cali? Hitting the sack? Sacramento? Could "Blue" be UCLA, didn't Baron play college ball there?

Oh wait, "Blue" reference the fact that I now have blue balls because I stayed up to read this thread instead of doing my GF and now shes asleep. Thanks Doc Rocket

i take this for face value.

he says "how can they trade ron now?" they are probably going to be very hesitant to move him.

tmac's worth will sky rocket next season, why trade him now?

maybe something will come up out of the blue tomorrow... well maybe a team will make an offer the rockets will want. but right now i, and most importantly Doc seems to doubt it.
