Again, it gives the Mavs an advantage to have him come off the bench. Even though Nash is a very good PG he does have one knock against him. He can not play 48 minutes and he has tendencies to get hurt when he plays large amounts of minutes. Because of this there are times he has to come out. Before Nick (and before Tim Bug) came to Dallas the Mavs would go on long scoring droughts whenever Nash had to come out. Opposing teams would make big comeback runs when Nash came out because they knew the Mavs were going to struggle scoring. Now when Nash comes out other teams still have to focus on stopping our PG. Every team that the Mavs have faced since the trade have said that the Mavs come at you in waves. Their starters come in and wear you out. Once they tire, the next wave of comes at you. The opposing teams are not able to rest on the defensive end because there is always a PG on the floor that is capable of killing them. I also agree that Dallas is most dangerous with both PG's on the floor at the same time. That's why they still average about 30 minutes a game on the floor together. It just works more in the Mavs favor to have NVE come off the bench at the begining of the game.

Sorry, but I just had to erase this post. I accidentally left my account logged in on my friend's computer. He's a big Mavs fan. Although I think he had some good points in the post, I just want everyone to know that I could care less about those bastards from up I-45, and would never make such a long, detailed post about them. I'm Rockets fan baby!

No one uses my cc.net account without my knowledge ZACK!

Great Post Astrorocket. I totally agree. A lot of people did not notice how the Mavericks shut down Kobe Bryant in those back to back games. I also believe that Nick Van Exel should come off the bench and the Mavericks should let Adrian Griffin start. With that lineup the Mavericks have one of the best starting lineups in the league and one of the best benches. It is hard to beat that.

Dallas isn't a good defensive team.

Who cares if Exel doesn't start. He usually gets starters minutes anyway, no?

Exel will be out there with the game on the line, not Griffin or Buckner.
