I agree. Here is my list of Players I would not be willing to give up.

    C:Yao
    PF:Scola, Hill
    SF:Ariza, Battier
    SG:Martin, Budinger
    PG:Brooks, Lowry

    That leaves us with:

    C:Hayes, D. Andersen
    PF: Jefferies,
    SF:
    SG:Taylor
    PG: Lull
    + 3 First Round Picks

-I believe Morey will try to entice him with the picks, taylor, and Jefferies but i believe Battier, and or Ariza would have to be involved in order to make the salaries match.
-If Morey can make this happen then I am all for it, but Defacing the team core isnt the direction he should go for one big name player just for the sake of having a big name player. Honestly I dont even know if he is big enough to get on TNT or ESPN next year. They only play 5 teams anyways but that is for a different thread.

I don't see the quickness to make him a dominant scorer, but if he develops that jump shot he, could be a really good starter, I think Joakim Noah is a good comparison. He still has a lot of fundamentals he needs to develop, but he could be a 13 and 10 type guy. Never a superstar though.

If by ceiling you mean the maximum potential a player can reach, no matter how small the possibility, then I would say Hill's ceiling is probably around Boozers.

That's silly because you're basically not willing to give up anything and saying that Yao + some old veteran will get the current Rockets a championship. Not gonna happen. You're not gonna beat LeBron or Kobe in the playoffs with that team

this. also he seems a little more athletic and more agile. if and when he bulks up, he really could become a force in the post.

if he stays with us, i could see him becoming our starting PF down the road. i hope he learns from scola and masters all the moves down low in the post, if he does, he could be effective on both sides of the court.

    Hill has HIGH potential.

I think Houston is good spot for him to tap into it and possibly reach it.

Exactly how high is his potential?.....I don't know.

    High: Chris Bosh
    Middle: Brian Grant
    Low: Mikki Moore
Really Low: a rebounding Whoopi Goldberg.

Hill's ceiling is Chris Bosh. The likelihood of him getting to that ceiling? I'd give it 1%.

Personally, I wouldn't give damn if he's included in a trade for Bosh. The same goes to every player on this team besides Yao/Martin/Brooks. Scola I feel has no chance of being traded given his BYC situation. But I wouldn't mind if he, rather than Hill, ends up being the PF that goes back to Toronto.

There's no telling how good he'll be. What we've seen already might be all we get, but you have to hope that he has a lot of upside still to be developed. Assuming we don't deal him, I'd love to see Jordan work with Hakeem over the summer. That would be freakin' awesome.

Wow. Just because we've got a chance to get Chris Bosh, people are so low on Jordan already.

He's already an above average rebounder. He also spaces very, very well. Those two aspects rarely develop in a player over his career. More often is the case that the player'll either have them or not when he enters the league.

I meant that I wouldnt give them up this year to get a free agent unless I could replace them in free agency or the draft. I would first try to bate the picks, taylor, jefferies, and andersen.

I know you have to give something up to get something but for a team like Toronto, those first round picks could be more valuable than a very good role player like Lowry or Ariza.

My point is that Morey should play hardball with Colangelo to keep most if not all of the players I labeled as untoucheable.

Those of you comparing Jordan Hill to Hakeem Olajuwon are either silly or extremely hopeful...... or both....

We shouldn't give up Hill for Bosh. Hill's rebound/block ability is already on par or better than Bosh(per 48 minutes). And give him more playing time, his jumper/hooks will go in at a high percentage(the forms, timing, release are all there).

I honestly think he could at least be a 18/8 guy easily given 35 minutes a game. If he can develop some post moves like Landry did under coaching staff, he IS going to be better than Bosh.

BTW, When shaq is leaving LA, Miami could dealt D wade(and LA strongly pursued him) along with Odom for Shaq. Back then Shaq is still a top star(not as dominant as his prime), and D wade just finished his rookie season with nice performance(better than our C Bud, but below what Evans/Jennings/Curry performed this year). Miami insisted that they would not offer D Wade even for Shaq... People forgot a lot of great rookies can help you 'WIN NOW' better than veteran stars.

A better version of Chris Bosh....if he works hard at it though, he already has the size and skills, its just a matter how hard you work at it and how badly you wanna improve
