I don't see how Mobley is safer pick than Green. Mobley is getting push around in the paint. He showed flashes on offense but not as smooth. Cade is the safest pick.

Unicorn represents a once in a generation type player.
Not just a horse but a special horse.....a Unicorn.

I'm trying to tell people that the Rockets can pass on the so-called Unicorn (Evan Mobley)
and get the horse later with pick #23 or #24. Similar to the Unicorn lies Kia Jones or Garuba
or JT Thor or Trey Murphy III.

Here are the numbers of both: Mobley/Bassey
    E Mobley (Unicorn)....vs......Bassey (Horse)......(edge goes to)

    10.3............................FGA..............11.8...............(Bassey)
    57.8%.........................FG%..............59.0%.............(Bassey)
    30.0%.........................3P%.............30.5%..............(Bassey)
    1.2..............................3PA...............2.1..................(Bassey)
    69.4%..........................FT%.............75.9%..............(Bassey)
    2.9...............................blks..............3.1..................(Bassey)
    8.7..............................TRBs.............11.6................(Bassey)
    2.7.......….....................ORBs.............3.3..................(Bassey)
    5.9...............................DRBs.............8.3..................(Bassey)
    16.4..............................Pts...............17.6................(Bassey)
    2.4................................Ast................0.7..................(Mobley)
    0.8................................stls................0.4..................(Mobley)
    2.2................................TOV...............2.2...................(same)
    1.8..............................PFouls............2.4....................(Mobley)

So it's kinda like the internet dress where some people saw it as
one color and half the internet saw it as another color.

I say pass on Mobley and get Bassey and or Kai Jones or Thor or Garuba or T Murphy.

Arguments are Bassey can't defend on perimeter......Mobley Mob say that
Evan Mobley can do both........I question whether Mobley can defend the interior
vs bigger stronger NBA bodies that play at center?

So the kid saying, "look ma, a unicorn".......
or is it really just a horse fooling people?

Maybe, Kai Jones or Thor or Garuba or Trey Murphy are horse; but can
become Unicorns with some work with John Lucas?

Supposedly we can't pass on Mobley because he is the only one of his kind coming
for decades to come. Or at least until next year when another batch of unicorns hit
    the market.

The smart thing is drafting Jalen #2. Then finding someone like a Kai Jones to fill the defensive/front court aspect.

I know you like that college zone defense. More power to you D.

I'm done conversing with you on Mobley. You just don't get it.

Still think highly of you on other basketball matters though. Tip of the cap.

    I like DEFENSE period.

2 way players are better than 1 dimensional players IMO.

I do as well. I score man to man and switching defense and PnR how it
    translates to the NBA.

Zone defense is just guarding a man as he comes into your zone.....how often do you
expect the Rockets to play zone? Good luck with that

Then we end up with Cade, hope he is not Michael Beasley 2.0, and have KPJ start recruiting Jalen Green as a FA a few years later.

Davis, Kyrie, KAT, and Derrick Rose might all have something to say about it. And Simmons too - it's still uncertain that Brown is better than Simmons.

    Kawhi >>> Kyrie imo

    Booker > KAT imo

Davis i concede, but some could argue Lillard > Davis

i know we all hate Russ but Russ>Rose and it's not close career wise

and to me Brown>Simmons is not close either.

    It's okay to disagree tho.

I don't agree with Booker > KAT. Before this season, Booker is a lot like KAT, player put up good stats on a bad team. You don't know how KAT will be playing under a better coach and playing with better player like CP3.

Kawhi is not better than Kyrie. Clippers still beat Jazz without Kawhi.

Davis is always overrated. Media love to overhype athletic big man. The thing is big men need guards to feed them the ball. Especially today NBA rules favor perimeter players.

Then you'll be happy to note that Mobley is best in switch, drop coverage as well as PnR.

Watch the entire games. Games, as in plural.

    Not just highlights or lowlights.

But #2 pick is way to steep for backup to Wood, we discussed this before my friend.

I have not changed my stance, Jalen Green with Porter will be to electric.
    Wood with Bassey......bring in Garuba/Kai Jones/T Murphy/Prkacin/Thor/etc
    in small ball lineups.

T Mann or Scottie Lewis or Duarte or Miles McBride or Hyland or McLaughlin or
etc or our own Khyri Thomas to pair with either Green or Porter to negate poor defense
in initial year of combo together.

The Wood with Tate/Kenyon Martin jr/Khyri Thomas with
Jalen Green/ + backup to Wood + backup to Porter/Green will set up the
    Rockets of years!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    ______________________________________________
    Roster
(example initially excluding Wall because he will probably pout & be sent away from team)

    Porter........................Scottie Lewis / Khyri Thomas
Eric Gordon.............Jalen Green / Scottie Lewis
    Kenyon Martin.........Tate / House
    Wood........................Garuba / (Tate/KMjr,/Olynyk)
    Olynyk.......................Bassey / Garuba

Small Ball lineups (using same players for example)

***Porter / Jalen Green / Kenyon Martin / Wood / Garuba

    ***Any combination of Porter/Eric Gordon/Khyri Thomas/Scottie Lewis/
    Jalen Green/Tate/House/Kenyon Martin/Wood/Olynyk/Garuba.

Even Bassey as Bassey is far more mobile than you think.
    _________________________________________________________
*Note I do think the Rockets will re-sign Olynyk while using his Bird-rights
to go over the Luxury Tax limit. And the obtain a 2nd Rd pick to obtain Bassey
or Scottie Lewis in my example.

The Rockets can be set for the next 10 years with this draft. Rookie contracts
galore.......extend Wood/Porter at end of next season as Wall and Eric Gordon
light at the end of tunnel approaches (start coming off the books).

Future drafts will be just gravy.

The pick will probably go into the replay review system and get reversed. Clear and Oblivious error.
