To wife: One box of Republic of Tea Spring Tea with Cherries, $50 gift certificate for a local spa, and a pair of earrings. To 5 yr. old daughter: Butterfly necklace and one red rose. To 5 month old daughter: A blue teether. For rimrocker: 1 lb of chocolate pretzels (chocolate and salt... Mmmmmm) and a homemade card from oldest daughter... sweet!
I got the Mad About You, Season 1 DVD, and the Buffy the Vampire Slayer "Once More With Feeling" CD from my gf. For her, I got two of her favorite movies on DVD (Benny & Joon and Sling Blade), and the "Hot Date" expansion pack for The Sims. I also cooked her dinner (Beef Stroganoff), and she actually ate it, so it must've been okay.
my wife and i gave each other a new house! we moved in this weekend!! woo hoo!!!!! of course, i was sick, sick, sick from Thursday night through yesterday. Nothing like moving heavy boxes with a fever and the wind and rain pounding you.
I received a box of chocolates from my wife, which she finished off last night before I even had one piece. So I guess that would mean, I got nothing.
I got some Banana Republic cologne (great scent by the way) and tickets to the Rockets and Memphis on Saturday and then against the Spurs later on. Not too shabby for a holiday that I hate. On the other hand, my girlfriend got screwed. Like Free Agent, I ordered flowers on line that were not delivered. I had to rush out last minute and pick some up. Then took her to Massas seafood which was excellent.
Gave: Night out at the Rockets vs. Heat, dinner at the Compaq Center Dessert at an Italian place My Big Fat Greek Wedding on DVD Dreamcast game Dozen roses with some other stuff in there in a nice vase Card Breakfast on Saturday Lunch on Saturday Other stuff I need not discuss Received: Steve Francis photo Card TONS of candy Dinner on Saturday Lunch on Sunday LOTS of other stuff I need not discuss Bottom line, I ended up getting much more than I gave, but I don't really care to share that part of it. Damn, B, I thought you weren't dating anyone. Sure sounds hot and heavy here. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that you are engaged in a month or two.
Things ended with my last ex the end of November, but we still hung out until New Years. So I wasn't dating from December to mid January, but I think I am doing quite well now. I decided to take a chance with someone who has everything together and it's really paying off well. So much better than someone who is still trying to figure out what they want and changing their mind every other week. As far as getting engaged in a month or two, that's a bit fast. I'd like to at least wait close to a year, since that seems to be the magic barrier for me. I've never gotten past a year in a relationship, so if it happens, then it is time to think about engagement/marriage. B
