Well if I'm already in going to be in Portland, I'd pay good money to be at this game. Especially since it would either be game 6 or game 7, right?

I live in Portland and I'm looking at tickets as we speak. They're going for bare minimum $100 bucks for nosebleeds right now. My guess is the worst seats in the building will fetch at least $150 by tomorrow.

I think most people take Portland to lightly. They are athletic and the bench is deep. I think who ever has home court advantage wins the series. I just do not trust the rockets they can not step it up in the fourth quarter. Another choke job by the rockets.

you people still are without a clue.. this isn't about match-ups.. are you serious..?

the only reason Utah poses such a problem for them.. is because they have the Rockets completely psyched out.. it's all mental..

this is why they loss against the Mavs today.. are you going to tell me with a straight face.. that now.. the Mavs are a difficult match-up for this team..?

they defeated themselves.. their collective attitude and mentality reverted to those years the Mavs were a constant thorn at their side.. they actually allowed themselves to regress that far back into themselves.. as soon as the Mavs didn't show signs of crumbling at the Rockets 14pt lead.. they've displayed such mental collapses before.. and in this season.. where the opposition didn't succeed by out matching the Rockets.. but by the Rockets themselves submitting to the challenge.. they just panic when a team continues to show fight.. and continues to come right back at them..

if Adelman.. or anyone on the team.. puts a fix to this.. before the first game of the 1st round.. home court or no.. Portland or NO.. this team will find a way to permit either team to just simply snatch a series from under them..

I am actually pumped about us this now. I'm going to buy try and buy tickets as soon as this Denver/Portland game is over. Since I'll be there 5/2-5/5, there's bound to be a game in Portland either Saturday, Sunday or Monday, right? Assuming the series goes that far, that is.

Well it all depends if Portland wins home court or not. I'll tell you though if you want to go to the game for sure and want to watch with a fellow Rockets fan I'll go with you. All my friends are rabid BLAZERS fans.

a loss to DAL made everything soo much tougher.

with SAS win, HOU lost, POR win tonight, the worst that could happen happened.

if we won tonight we got 3rd seed and then SAS and LAL can fight their asses off to WCF while we get the easiest route

but now, if we win POR we have to play LAL (most likey), and then SAS in WCF....

tonight's loss is just that bad

I have all the confidence in the world that we will beat Portland. I think we can sweep them. In 7 game series they can't handle us. They play good basketball but we have to many weapons and really outside of Roy who should we really be worried about?

Portland played so well at home this season, if we lose HCA, we hate to say that but it's really hard to get out of the 1st round. :(

might as well rebuild if you can't advance to 2nd round with or without homecourt against portland

If they are smart, Portland will front Yao and he will turn invisible. Been a problem for Yao his whole NBA career and no Rockets coach or Yao himself can find a way to counter it. This is setting up for a long, seven game series.

so it appears portland will likely win and get HCA (before you flame me, i hope i am wrong!). now lets figure this out.

to win this series, we really need to win one of the first two in portland. i think this is very possible given that they are an inexperienced team. if we just win game one or two, we can just protect TC from then on and win in 6. i really think we need to win one of the first two because its easier to steal a game on the road in the first two games, it seems. I think we could possibly win game 5 there but im not sure about our chances in portland.

so in conclusion - we win in 6 or lose in 7 would be my predictions if I were a betting man...

There was no possible worse scenario.....RA and all the losers on this board hoping that we tanked a game are to blame!

Let's hope that the Rockets have a players only meeting and get their minds right and ready for the playoffs by putting this horrible lose behind them. This has the same feeling as all of our first round exits of the past, even though it was just a regular season game. This game meant so much that it is like losing the 7th game at home.

RA will NOT be the reason if the Rockets advance, it will be the players stepping up. RA is not going to out coach any western conference playoff coach.
