    He was salary filler in a trade for the pick that eventually got traded for DMo. Battier retired 2 years after that trade. Miraculously, Ish Smith is the last man standing.

    At the time he was saying he is ok with 99% bust rate if there was 1% superstar potential.

    It was obviously the wrong line of thinking and Morey mostly gave up on the draft opting to trade away our draft pics to get vets around James Harden.

    While people were hating, Hasheem was still out there balling and damn near dropped a triple-double with 15 points, 13 rebounds, and 9 blocked shots over in China this season

    I hope he can play for the Rockets some day. Rockets have a very rich history of big men. We could pair him with Yao and Mac and have twin towers.

    2009 is gonna be a fun year.

    It was just part of Morey’s plan to have everyone from the 2009 draft play for the Rockets. He made a pretty good run at it.
