seriously? you're reading into this way too much. the jab was more at the utah jazz then it was at mayzar.
FYI...I;m the husband in this equation. So yeah we went to Tustin AMC and he was there. He left at the end when they were doing the whole song because everyone else was engulfed in watching and he knew this was his best get away. My Brother in Law asked a few more questions and found out he apparently rents out the whole theater when he wants for like $150 bucks and times he wants a few rows he pays 50 bucks. They say he comes about every other week and always really late shows. The manager basically walked him in to the top and they give him service at his seat so he doesn't have to stand in line at the concession stand. The funniest part was someone in the crowd at one point yelled out "MVP", my wife (Keeyanballas sister) was about to scream out..."yeah LeBron was" lol Anyways interesting night at the movies. Of course no pics since he took off running with his wife. I would have rather tripped him then took pictures though lol
Movie was okay...had its moments but not worth all they hype...the comment was the funniest thing directed towards the Kobe experience.
they probably block off two rocs at the very back so that they can sit in the last row and then have a row in between for buffer so that idiots dont keep turning around the whole movie. Interesting nonetheless, I was under the impression that big time stars (kobe is obviously at the top) could get new releases at home- I saw a cribs episode with Rod Stewart's daughter giving the tour and she said that they could get the new releases screened at home in their private theater. link
Dude doesn't have his own movie theatre? What, they're popcorn is better? Further, $50 for a couple of rows? $150 for the whole theatre? I guess that's the star power at work there, because if my wife and I go to a movie, it's gonna cost almost that much to get in and sit down with a couple of beverages and some junior mints (which, by the way, are quite refreshing!). Maybe I should ask next time how much it would cost to rope off a couple of rows and have someone bring me my beverages and snacks?
That was the same thing I was thinking. It is definitely star power at work to get those rates. I'm sure the manager just threw out a number to Kobe back in the day and that's what he gets.
What the heck is Kobe doing all the way out in Tustin? I'd figure he'd live somewhere a little more central.
My rook status, of which im quite proud, obviously procludes me from thread starting...and as there's no recent WWE thread that I can find, and because this one deals with run ins with celebs that involves no pics, let me drop this one on ya (and hope some WWE fans are reading) Last Tuesday night in Melbourne I went to the WWE RAW houseshow. Next morning I just arrived at the airport, and right behind me appears a busload of oversized dudes...first guy I saw was Brian Kendrick, then I saw fecking Randy Orton and then the Big Show, HHH, Carlito, Santino and eventually realised the whole damn RAW roster was standing in the line right next to me, minus Cena who didnt make the trip. Phone was flat and couldnt get pics, but for the next 20mins I spent time stalking them around the departure lounge. MVP was pimpin with Kelly and Maryse on either side of him.....sly dogggggg. Was waaaaay to intimidated to talk to any of the big names or the Divas - so had a casual conversation with the Miz, Kofi Kingston and Kendrick...also said wassup to Cody Rhodes and some others.
