Just pay the bill. They will tell you that ultimately, YOU are responsible for knowing the terms and conditions of your plan and what it entails as far as coverage areas. You may be able to get them to break it up into a payment plan. If you don't ask, you don't get..... Pay it.
if you can afford an iphone, you can afford the bill. BTW, did you hear they dropped the price $200.00?? Oh, and you went under a 2 year contract for a phone that you paid full price? mmmm wow. Why do people worship apple and AT&T?
First off the phone was a gift from my unlce ok. He had the money to buy me one and before you start with the whole" Well since he can buy you an iphone he can sure pay your bill" dont I am not one to ask anyone for money when I get into truoble like this. And I was already under contract with my previous phone so I just changed my plan to an iphone plan.
Well I used to own and opperate a call phone store in down town. This is what you gotta do... & there is some lies involved. Well you have to call customer service & tell them somone told you from an ATT store that it would be covered. Make sure not to say somone from ATT customer service. If they ask which store say, it was one that had an authorized dealer sign on it. They arn't ATT corporate stores. They are private stores selling ATT Wireless as authorized dealers so they can't really track them down as far as employee's go. Anyways plead your case to one of the reps and talk to the manager over there as well if you have to. Im pretty sure there not going to take all the charges away but they will most likley cut them in half. Try that out & hopfully it'll work out for you. Let me know how it goes. -Shawn
While you are telling those lies, at least make it interesting. Tell them you were kidnapped just outside the said AT&T authorized dealer store after you bought your iPhone. A large brown van pulled up, and armed men whisked you inside, hit you on the head with the BUTT of their gun, and you woke up in Mexico, buried alive....and without your iPhone. Miraculously, you were able to dance at the local nudie bar for some change, you picked up a gun, and hunted down the perpetrators....not realizing it was a huge iPhone Unlocking ring. You rescued your phone and walked across the border back to the states with no shoes in 100+ temps. Then you got your bill....and that's the reason for your call today.
I appreciate the advice but since I'm under contract under my moms name she was the one who had to call and since the rep didnt have the power to void the charge he filed a form and sent it to somone higher and theyll call back in 24-48 hours with im guessing a compromise or something
You shoulda got a Helio Ocean, my international and data is free....well basically everything is free but the Phone Min. and I am getting the I-Touch...for the options of the I-phone without the phone
Heres the kick to it...while i was in mexico i was just using safari. I made no calls what so ever or texts and it was a week...i figured if my laptop could get wifi then my iphone could to
LOL,I was just going to ask you if the phone you had was an iPHone but as a joke about their ridiculous prices. Then it turns out that I was right.
I see a litigation right there. Sue apple or ATT for fraud, not displaying charge message before usage. Any lawyer members want on?
I just recently had a ~$450 phone bill because I went over on minutes (between me, my wife, and my brother-in-law). I called them up, increased my minutes and told them I didn't want to pay $450, so the guy knocked $200 off. Still expensive, but less so, and it was completely my own fault too.

If you were my kid and you ****ed my bill up like that, you'd never have service under my name ever again. Its called thinking before you make dumb decisions.
I feel for you, but I'm still laughing at the absurdity of the situation. Its like something from a bad sitcom. Say your phone got stolen while you were in Mexico and someone used the internet all day. (I'm not really sure how you would say you got your phone back) Or say someone in your living quarters was secretly using the internet while you were sleeping, etc..
