its standard practice in most companys... i just put the language filter on for any email that comes and goes from our company...any inter-office email is fine to curse up a storm. my boss actually asked me to put it on 2 years ago when someone accidently sent a client an email with some language in it that was meant for someone else.
Sorry dawg, I remember reading you were looking for another job, but did you stay at the same gig? It sucks he laid the rules down for you, but he can break them anytime he wants. Management sucks.
yeah things got better here once the new year started, there was some management shakeup but its ok now but obviously there is now this. i am still looking around for some new things but pretty much everything is still at a point where I take less money for work or if i try to "level up" there are 100s of other people with more experiences/qualifications than me applying. I am about to cross my 3 year mark here so I hoping to ride 09 out here (for the most part I do like the job here and the company) and look really hard again at the end of 09 to get something beg of 10

If there is no way that they can find out that I know, then I wouldn't say anything. If there is, and the company policy is to snitch if this is happening...then I would do that. If they try to can you then it sounds like you have a perfect lawsuit IMO.

Do NOT take this advice. Think about it...it's YOUR boss and the HEAD of HR...could there be a worse combo of people that might want you out of the picture? Terrible idea...leave it alone.
couple of questions.. I assume your a network/exchange admin right? what is the procedures about emails that violated the language policy? you were notified of the email and it was put under quarantine right? who else has been notified? are you supposed to read it?
