The new phrase that is replacing Jump the Shark is "Phil Hartmaned", after News Radio went into the crapper after the late, great Phil Hartman was murdered by his evil psycho wench ex-wife...

This thread has officially Phil Hartmaned...lock it, Clutch!

When radio stations stop playing your songs for ANY REASON, especially for fan backlash, I would say that makes a big enough statement.

Who cares how many people felt the Dixie's were worth going out and spending time to protest, the bottom line is there was a time that not a single radio station in the US would play their music.

As for "we'll see when they get to Texas" right we will, but keep in mind there are millions of people in the state, enough even for them to sell out 16,000 seat venues, but the fact of the matter is they were banned by each station's choice from every station at one point, that was good enough for me.

The only thing better is if they did take Berkman's advice and moved to Oklahoma.

Next time Charlie Robison plays the Mucky Duck, during a break, go up and ask his permission. She is his wife.

Well, hey, if there isn't any real backlash, then hopefully we can stop seeing 'em crying on the TV all the time.

But I know one thing for sure, when I own a major league baseball team, I won't help out any relatively unknown groups by allowing them to sing the national anthem, etc. at my baseball games for fear that when I become President, they'll claim they're embarassed to be from the same state as I am.
