You do realize the new rules do not allow people to touch anyone on the perimeter, and the ability to carry the ball stops ANYONE from playing good perimeter defense....almost every good PG with a dribble can use a pick or a carry to get open.

So is that why Brooks gave Blake 15 feet of separation for the game winning shot? To make sure he didn't accidentally touch Blake?

Seems like Lowry plays pretty good perimeter defense.

Yeah that was a bad mistake on his part, for sure, but the overall team defense was bad, not just Brooks.

Chauncey got by him fairly easily too......Lowry is a better defender, but when he shoots 0-7 he is not a better solution than AB.

But to blame our PGs....nah, we have ehem...bigger problems.

Scola is the best player on the team right now.

Brooks has had rough shooting nights the last few games, and when that happens he'll struggle because scoring is what he excels at. I don't worry too much about him on the offensive end, though. He's proven how good he can be as a scorer; everyone hits bumps now and then.

The defense is a big concern right now, though. I hate to say it, but people really under-appreciated the professional job Rafer Alston did on the defensive end when he was with us. Brooks doesn't have Rafer's height, but he's got similar quickness and strength. He needs to take it personal when opposing players make him look bad.

Haha, I hope that AB is our best player, but he is not looking good so far. The key is still for his lack of defense and passing ablity, I do not know what he can do CP3 next game, it could be another loss.

With how this team has played I don't see how we can beat Hornets or Spurs. Only going by how the team has played so far...of course it can get better...but with how they have closed qtrs how can we beat the Hornets with West and Paul and how do we beat the Spurs who are known for their comebacks?

    Not looking good

These losses had not much to do with his shooting. It's really about his defense. He should spend more time studying the game videos.

He does. Except in his case it leads to bone-headed decision-making, missed 3's, and turnovers.

Maybe you should follow your own advice.

Why do you always act like you are the smartest person in the world while in the reality you are just a dumbazz.
    In today's game,
    AB pts=9, +/-=-11
    KL pts=0, +/-=-4
Also did Spurs lose 15 pts every first quarter when they had bruce bowen?

As soon as the world figures out the subtleties of the game, and stops whining about things they don't know about.

    Which, is probably never.

kind of true if ab keeps his style in these 3 games..i just hate to see lawson went directly on him over and over..and how he got posted by a PG..

i know there are some issues around on the whole team..(maybe except scola)
ab is surely one of the biggest reason we struggled..

in GS game, not mentioning how he let injured leg- Curry shoots above 50%..he kicked the damn ball out of bound when we have the ball and down 4!! wtf....

in Nuggets game, we can see how poorly his defense is..to be honest, we are in a better shape or flow when lowry is in..(maybe brooks > lowry as a player in overall..) u see how lowry fits in the team better no matter in offense or defense end. Just like fisher, he didn't get big numbers at all..and we all know brooks can kill fisher one on one..but he makes the champion pg..! coz he doesn't turn the ball over and PASS the damn ball to the inside or the hot guy..!!

i like how lowry move the ball to half court and immediately pass it to yao or scola or martin...and try to run picks or different plays..so much better than ab holding the ball and 50% will turn the ball over or waste the shot clock..

i am not saying brooks are useless or weak..I just think he is in a very bad shape this 3 or 2 games...when he was in the court, our opponent pg has advantage..last year, he still can make some 3s and do better decision..now, he just looked lost and not focusing..anyway, i would love to see him doing better in the coming games..otherwise, please bench him..and let him shoot when Yao and scola is not there..(pass the ball to Yao or scola when they are hot!! damn..!!!!)

Must see how the board reacts when Brooks gets injured and Lowry plays 40 minutes. we might get a "So much for Lowry.... " thread immediately i guess

We must understand that our PG COMBO is good.. Brooks is good at his thing and Lowry is good at his. it is the combo that worked so well last year. So just be patient.. I think Yao being in and out like T-Mac is the main problem now.

Can you elaborate on why Yao's minutes are the problem?

Didn't we have a whole year to adjust to playing without Yao? I don't see what's so difficult about it. When Yao is in, go to him. When he's out, do what worked so well last year.
