yeah, i threw them in there b'c they were mentioned somewhere before.. not a serious team, but i think they'll finish 9th or 10th after a full season w/ hubie (who i must admit turned their team around after he took over).

cparka - here are some euro prospects for you to scout...

Actually having thought about this, I think I prefer Luka (see bottom) over Drago, but it depends on which is the better pure shooter, because we KNOW that almost all Euro's are soft on D. when they arrive. And for anyone who thinks I'm suggesting these guys as #1 picks, forget it. I'm suggesting these will be some of our choices if we pick in our usual 9-14 spot!!

Drago: NBA Comparison: Tom Gugliotta (the good old "Googs")

Strengths: Pasalic is a talented PF with plastic moves and great understanding of the game. He’s athletic, already experienced in the pro level, has nice size for a forward; he moves smoothly in the perimeter and drives in the paint. Has a nice frame and quick hands. He is capable of scoring big numbers with his smooth release from both mid-range jumpers and perimeter shoots, he can rebound and pass the ball. He battles in the post, is keen for the offensive boards, knows how to create space in the paint by positioning himself, he is excellent in tipping-in the ball … Plays with great maturity and leadership for a 19-year-old player.

Weaknesses: Needs to put on some weight, work a bit his timing and be more aggressive in defensive rebounds and personal defense.

Has already gained 3 years of professional experience, showed a lot of promise playing for the Champions, Croatia in the European U-18 Championship. He has a good frame, runs the court like a SF, shoots like a shooting guard from both in and out the perimeter and always fights with agressiveness for the rebounds.I strongly believe that if this guy shows development of his offensive inside game, he will be drafted in 3 years. The kid has game and guts.

    Mauricio Aguiar 6-6 200 SG (Uruguay) 1982 --

A supreme scorer, penetrates and dunks, he is at his best going to the hoop with power moves and always finishes strong. Good defender, good legs, plays strong perimeter defense and can defend the post as well. Has a decent 3 point shot, but has to improve upon his 39% clip, has good technique on his shot. Has a lot of passion for the game and plays hard at all times. Always gives 110%, and has a winning attitude. Close to signing a 3 year deal with Cimberio Novarra a-2 in Italy. (= Euro Posey!!)

Luka Bogdanovic 6-9 200 SF Red Star Belgrade (Serbia)

Has been called Yugoslavia's best scorer. Luka is a gifted, though slightly built wing forward, with a super consistent shooting touch. He has also shown very good court sense and vision which makes some people wonder if he could handle the point guard spot. He'll likely play a point forward position once he makes the NBA. If he reaches his potential, Bogdanovic could turn into a Peja-like player. Lacks great athleticism and quickness. For now he must become a better defender and gain more aggressiveness. Darko Milicic considers him as the Yugo player aside from himself who has the best shot at the NBA.

(The Next Dirk- BUT AT THE sf SPOT??)
