how many episodes did you actually watch to bring forth such hatred?

if you're judging Voyager by the first season eps then you're right but the show got so much better.

the finale got great ratings for UPN, who came in 2nd for last night to NBC.

    My rankings:

    1. TNG- That cast had so much chemistry. I still watch the repeats every night. The last season of this series was brilliant. The finale was the best, just slightly above Voyager.

    2. Voyager- I thought the cast was great. They developed great chemistry over the last few seasons, and there was never ONE episode I truly hated. The finale was perfect. I miss the show already.

    3. Deep Space Nine- The first five seasons were great, but the last two were trash. I got so sick of seeing the characters swoon over bloody Vick, the Sinatra style hologram. Every frickin episode over the last two years had Vick in it! NO KLINGON WOULD LISTEN TO SINATRA STYLE MUSIC 400 YEARS IN THE FUTURE, GIVE ME A BLOODY BREAK!

There was even an episode in the last season, where the entire crew played baseball with some Vulcans. That was it. A friggin baseball game, for the entire episode. They didn't even get trapped in the holodeck. The writers must have taken a day off. The rest of the show, however, was excellent.

    4. Star Trek- The movies were great, especially number 4, when they rescued the whales. I loved that one. The show is just so outdated now, it is in last place by default.

    The movies:

    1. Star Trek 8- I loved it. Time travel, borg, brilliant effects- it had the whole package, with my favorite cast.

    2. Star Trek 7- Data: "Ohhh Sh*t!" Classic.

    3. Star Trek 4- "Ve are looking for a nuclear wessel."

    4. Star Trek 6- Haven't seen it in a while, but it is definitely one of my favorites.

I heard that the next movie may involve cast members from all three modern shows. Oh please, let Seven be in the movie. PLEASE!

Did anyone ever notice that the seem to recycle a lot of the actors for the series and movies. For example, Tuvok was also used as a crew member on the Enterprise B in Generations.

Speaking as an older poster, my rankings:

    1) Star Trek
    2) A bunch of cheap imitations.....

    Behad,

You didn't mind Kirk (Shatner) going overboard in his acting?

I just started watching the finale, again, and I saw that Steve Francis commercial- the one where he jumps over the car. I thought the company took that ad off the air? It is good to see it back on. That guy has hops!

I think I'll go and try that myself! [IMG]

Not at all. I thought his hammyness was perfect for the roll he was in. My problem with the new shows is that I never could get past the comparisons to the original. I tried watching a few episodes of ST/TNG, but found my self saying "This is just like the Star Trek episode where....."

Oh well. I'm not much of a TV watcher anyway, so I don't think I have missed much.
