So Les Alexander doesn't want to tank because he wants fans in the seats ?

No, I'm thinking about something like that Utah pick Minnesota owns which is lotto protected this draft and top 12 protected next season.

I would hope you could more for him too, but if you can't, I still think it is now in the best interests of the organization to trade him for even that little. I do imagine you could get more for him, like Beasley and Ridnour as well, but, unless another team would give Houston something for those two as well (another pick, a backup 5), then I would not want those two further cluttering up the team.

The main thing that needs to be done is clearing out the redundancy on the roster. I think it prevents players from growing, from having a role, and thus hurts chemistry. Martin is not currently doing anything special (or showing that he can do so) to where other players on the team couldn't (potentially) do just as much as he is with his minutes (i.e. Lee, Dragic, Chase). Thus, the benefit of trading him ( the growth of other players, an extra pick, better cap situation next season, better chemistry and defense) far outweighs the reasons for keeping him.

If things keep up with him, the Rockets will probably have to use their amnesty over the off season to get rid of him.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Rileydog again.

I'm hoping if the Rockets are out of the playoff hunt by the deadline, Les will finally be forced to submit to reality and allow Morey to rebuild. His wishful thinking will cost us in terms of draft position this year, and we honestly should have started the rebuilding in 09 after Yao's injury, but better late than never.

Random thought: Would you rather have Les Alexander or Rachel Phelps owning this team?

You r silly. U expect an nba owner to say outright that he wants the team to tank? YOU expect him to accept a big fine from the nba for promoting his team to tank? R u trolling? lol
