The karmic winds seem to indicate that LB will be the next coach of the Rockets. This would be great, IMO. But, the common sentiment among everyone concerning Brown is that he has too much of a Gypsy nomadic streak in him, and will likely not be here for the long haul. (One thought about that history - would LB have been such a nomad IF his teams had been good enough to win a couple rings or so? Might he have stayed put longer in such a spot?) Anyway, posit: LB coaches here for 3, maybe 4 years. The question then becomes, who would be the ideal coach to take up the reins after that. Assuming that Yao, SF, and EG are all still here, in their primes, this will likely still be a very attractive spot for prospective coaches. Do we try to get a Del Harris-type in here as an assistant for a couple of years, ostensibly to take over from LB when he retires/moves on? Or just throw it open again like this time? My guess/hope is that Dunleavy comes on board as an assistant, and after LB gets this team headed in the right direction, makes them a contender in the West, the Dunleavy takes over for another Rudy-like reign of winning years. So, my guess is LB -> Dunleavy. Other guesses? Anyone who might be better a few years down the line? ciao
lol....I agree. BRING BACK RUDY! By then.........system will be great. Francis will be getting it. Mobley will be gone! HALLELUJAH! Griffin will be off pot and will be a new star! Nachbar will be a better and younger version of Peja Stojakovic! Yao will be the most dominant center! Moochie will be gone as well! It will be wonderful. Just enjoy the 2-3 years..........
hell yeah!! and rudy can win back-to-back-to-back-and-so-on championships! oh by the way, lmfao @ cat gone and hallelujah! our prayers have been asnwered! lmfao!
One giant leap at a time. The real question we should ask is: if Larry Brown comes to Houston, what will happen to Tito Maddox? University (Jackson 6) Blue
Yes in about 2-3 years then Rudy would be ready to coach again. When asked if he would like to coach the Rockets again in the future he responded with a "maybe".
