Had a dream where I had a gun pointed at me and I literally said...

"Wait this is my dream...GIMME THAT GUN" snatched it from em and thats that.

I had a weird one last night. I was with a group of people. I dont even remember their names or what they looked like, I dont think they were real people. I dont even remember how many. There was at least one girl though. And we all knew we were dreaming. But, I for some reason thought they were real people sharing the dream with me. I guess I've been thinking about Inception way too much lately. So I guess I wasn't completely aware.

But at times I wasn't sure if I was in a dream or not, line between that and reality was blurred, because it was very realistic. And I really didn't control it near as much as I should have.

I've had plenty of dreams where I realized I was in a dream (In nightmares or dreams where something really bad happens, like a death or something, I sometimes can somehow remind myself its a dream), but I've never taken advantage of that. One time I just woke myself up when I realized it because I didnt want to be in that situation, when I could have just changed the situation. I never think about it while in a dream though.

I've always wanted to have a good one though, where I knew and actually controlled it.

hard for me to do that whole "control" thing in my dreams.
even if i tell my self " i will be in control" its useless.
my dreams consist of a black nothingness.
one weird thing is if i do remember a dream the ppl i encounter are headless.
i can hear em talk but no head???

I have been able to lucidly dream many times but is not something I can do at will. Generally if something really bad is happening in a dream I can tell myself it is a dream and the situation will resolve itself or I will wake up.

Ive had this nightmare reoccuring for several years now, maybe even a night terror or whatever those are called, but nonethless they are always the EXACT SAME dream no matter how much I try to wake out of it...

I do this regularly. I'll be having a dream in a random situation, realize it's a dream, and start controlling actions. It happens about 3 or 4 times a month...

Sounds more like a psychological problem... something happened as a kid? you should see a shrink.

This never even crossed my mind. I sleep to get rest so I can live my real life. You guys are not doing enough in your life if you're thinking about how you're going to control your dreams and how rad it will be.

I use to try and control my dreams when I was younger, but once I realized I was dreaming and tried to control them I started to wake up...it never worked. Now I don't give a damn, I just want to get some sleep.

Nope, this night terror thing happens maybe once a year? It's not anything distinct either, it's like this pacman-like black thing engulfing me

    To the OP:

Sorry to tell you that's not what happened in your dream. I was in your dream and I planted an inception which caused you to have a positive emotional reaction to the idea that you had a lucid dream. This idea grew on you and made you start this thread. That was the whole point of my inception. I succeeded!

My guess is that they probably aren't headless, but you remember them so because in some dreams you see people but you really never see their face. Blurred or gone.

I've never really had control of my dreams and I've had some weird dreams. Nothing like shacking up with some crazy old man who thought the world was going to end and would beat me with a bowling ball and tell everyone he impregnated me. I mean...what kind of crap is that?

Cheese makes dreams more lucid and vivid if eaten before bed. Spicy food does as well.
