I wish him well but I've watched two ravens games and I see the same jacoby. He got bailed out last night on the PI call cause he wasn't coming up with the grab. Another catch should have been reviewed by refs last night but they continued play and the muffed punt (lucky for him & ravens) bounced his way. Not worried at all about losing out on Jacoby and I'm very happy with jean/Martin as the 3rd receiver combo.
Who pissed in your cheerios? Why so serious? Let's not get it twisted, I'm glad to see him gone. I'm pointing out the fact that he's actually helping a team win and didn't do that for us.
Dude he pulled some anti gravity **** getting back to his feet, as a fat man, I am impressed with that. However, what a douche. Jacoby is who we think he is; I have so much faith that he will make just costly mistakes with the Ravens just like he did here. You just can't fix stupid.
Did anybody else watch the MNF halftime show where they have the Sounds of the Game segment? After Jacoby ran back the kick Harbaugh tells him "it's nice having a coach that believes in you." Jacoby agreed with him though you can't hear 100% what he says. I thought that was interesting.
If his coach believes in him, why has he only been targeted with 28 passes (15 receptions) this year?
don't get me wrong, i'm glad he's gone. he really screwed up last year and he wasn't worth the money on our team. that said, going of the really poor ST we have here it makes me wonder if Marciano is just a bad coach who doesn't inspire confidence with his ST unit. I mean we have Jacoby going off in kick offs and Holliday doing his thing in Denver.
was harbaugh referring to their own special teams coach? or was he referring to himself? if it's himself, that's a ronny like move.
He seems to be doing better, but it's only regular season. When playoffs start I would be concerned about Jacoby handling the ball.
Marciano just has to go, how can you have Jones and Holliday suddenly become prolific returners?!?!?!?!?
I would disagree with "better." At the same point last year, he was ahead of what he has right now. Through 9 games, around 300 in 2011, and 256 in 2012. Also, his only stats during the playoff game are 2 fumbles, one lost.
It does seem like blocking for our returners have been very subpar over the years. That said, Jones was certainly a cost-cutting move more than a football one. He was due $3mil this year. He's not worth that when the Texans can pay peanuts to Martin, Holliday, and Jean instead.
The dude is an embarrassment, plain and simple. Anybody who watches his act and doesn't cringe is not a football fan.
I am glad he is gone, now i can watch the punt returns w/o having the worry that he might fumble the ball...
he is having a great season...and perhaps a change of scenery was all he needed...but its only a matter of time before fumbilitis rears its ugly head...during a crucial part of a playoff game...just sayin
