    So I think some people posted things as a joke (like you, I think) and some people did in fact posted mysoginist things.

    But I agree that the women can go out with her friends, while her husband is watching the kids.

    But also the guy who had to take her to her house, was wrong, leaving her in the middle of the street while she was heavily drunk, if you are afraid of the husband, you stay in your car, and you wait until she enters the house, and then you can go without speaking with the husband (the OP)

    I'm glad that she is safe and that things worked out and apologize for saying it sounded kind of fishy...it had to have been a horrible night for you.

    Not true. Plenty of people go to clubs/bars to celebrate birthdays and other things quite often. And girls like to go out and have "Girls Night Out" pretty frequently until they are too unattractive to get hit on and it makes them more insecure to go out than to stay in.

    That being said, the whole story does not make sense as other people as pointed out.

    1.) No friend that goes way back from college would punk their drunk friend like that.

    2.) What was the other female friend doing? Girls stick together. There is no way she would let her drunk female friend not get dropped off first.

    And I feel that there is a prior history before this one event that the OP has not told us about.

    from the OP's reaction to it all, it seems like the wife has been sketchy before. i don't see why a trustworthy wife would put herself in that situation and not keep in contact with her husband (cell phone).

    Just odd that the wife said she would be home "soon" then went AWOL. I realize that she's a small person and probably could get wasted in no time, but it's not out of the realm of possibility that someone drugged her drink knowing that she was going to leave "soon". Might wanna take her to the hospital to get her system checked out.

    Wow, this thread has reached a level of epic proportions it would seem. Needless to say, I skipped over the past 3-4 pages of comments since my last.

    First things first, my wife did not cheat on me. From the point when I spoke to her female friend who had just been dropped off at HER house, about 10 minutes went by where I was talking to my wife on and off on her way to where this dirtbag dropped her off.

    Second, I didn't threaten the guy who was driving her home. When my wife handed him the phone on the way back from the other friend's house, I was merely trying to make sure he knew where exactly we lived so he'd get her home safe. He sounded drunk and really just kept kinda saying, "yeah yeah, ok...", not really listening to me. This is when I got really angry with him.

    As far as the aftermath, my wife feels absolutely terrible and is embarrassed that she did this. Actually, that doesn't even do justice to how bad she feels...lot of regret going on this weekend.

    Lastly, her "friends". Needless to say, the guy will never be around me or my wife again. If he we were to cross paths sometime, it wouldn't be pretty. I actually called her female friend (who WAS a pretty good friend of hers) and questioned her actions that night as well. My wife put herself in this situation but her friend should have absolutely made sure she got to the front door. She should have simply told the dirtbag that she was coming home with her. I'm pretty sure she is gone from our life as well.

    I appreciate the well-wishes from many of you and understand the jokes from others. Like I said, I created this thread and it is what it is. How about some rep for entertaining you guys to the tune of 12K+ views? :p
