Wow ... You are a thinker my friend.

I was at IN-N-Out the other day and I thought the same thing.

I need to go to In-N-Out Burger and settle this for myself.

I had In-N-Out in Utah a few weeks ago and I don't think it is signifigantly better than Whataburgers or Culvers. Of course this might've been due to it being UT and not CA.

For those of you in CA have any of you tried Nations? I remember eating there in college and thought they were pretty good.

I haven't been yet, but I've heard some fantastic things about it from co-workers. I might have to go try it out this weekend. I think it's supposed to be down close to the Domain.

In-N-Out is one of the many things I absolutely miss about living in CA. I do like Whataburger, but In-N-Out is the best thing to happen to the fast food industry.

If you don't realize the inherent superiority that is In & Out Burger, the absolute masterpiece that is the symphony of flavor in a double-double animal style flying across your taste buds, well then that's just a shame. Because you're wrong and probably a failure in life.

Tried In-n-Out on my big USA road trip. I wasn't too impressed. It was okay, but no better than any other fast food burger. Seems tremendously overrated by many people here.

Didn't get a chance to try Whataburger, unfortunately.

Honestly, as a native Texan, fan of California, and fan of both Whataburger and In-n-Out, I have this to say.

A Whataburger from a decade or two ago would definitely have been better than those of In-n-Out (at any time); however, I feel that the quality of Whataburger has diminished significantly since then, and is now eclipsed by In-n-Out burger.

Is Whataburger better than In-n-Out? My answer: it used to be, but not any more.

    p.s.

i also have been to In-N-Out...i can admit but it's real good and better than Jack In the Crack, McD's, Wendy's...but better than Whataburger !?!?!? pffft, please...

the first time i ate at Del Taco the tortillas tasted like brown napkins with tomatos sauce spread on them...

here's the trick to good food in Cali: stay away from the local mainstream resteraunts and stick with private businesses or "hole-in-the-wall" type of establishments...better food there...

so I was in Vegas earlier this week, good stuff, I think I was over hyped about it and didn't enjoy it as much as I should have

funny story, I went with my cousins, Yoyo, and tm1ym11 on Monday and yoyo called up moe to tell him that he was bringing me to his fav, place, when we were ordering, my cousin, carlos, and I were hitting on the cashier chick and I think moe heard everything :D

honestly, i dont even think whataburger has good burgers. They arnt much different than any other fast food place. In-N-Out and Carls Jr. for that matter are both much better

I ate at In-N-Out Burger twice when I was in SoCal in late June. I'd still take Whataburger any day of the week. I don't normally go all out customizing mine, but you can't deny the advantage of being able to do so when In-N-Out only gives you 3 options. Granted, that's part of their style, but I like options. Regardless, I'd still take a basic Whataburger over a basic In-N-Out burger.

On the other hand, Del Taco truly kicks Taco Bell's ass.
