A couple of years ago I lived in Bellaire and worked in the Heights. It took me 25 to 30 minutes to get home because of traffic on the surface streets (I left work everyday about 6:00pm). Refgal works in Greenway and lives in League City. It takes her 45 minutes to get home if she avoids leaving until after 5:45pm. If you live in the Heights and work downtown, you will not have the problem I did.

Is there a place where women DO shave their armpits while jogging? That just seems like an accident waiting to happen.

I've lived in the Heights area for the last ten years. I live just North of the loop now, but still very close. Welcome!

The antique shops on 19th, Java java on 11th, Kojak's on 18th, Gabby's BBQ on Shepherd just North of 610, Flying Saucer Pies on Crosstimbers (43rd), Farmer's Market on Airline, Lots of great thrift shops, second hand furniture places on Yale, Onion Creek on White Oak for coffee or beer (the was a burger place just a few blocks away run by the same people but I can't remember the name of it [dry creek - thanks SWTsig]), Dan Electro's Guitar Bar & Fitzgerald's.

Thanks. I felt like I might have been pushing too hard because of nerves, but I really enjoyed doing it.
