The first person I watched die was when I worked in a hospital as a pharmacy tech back in the early 90's. I still remember the guy's name - I doubt I'll ever forget it. I remember I kind of cried afterwards.
I have seen a few people die, though none violently (well, maybe one was violently, but that part I didn't see). Usually I purposefully try to dissociate myself from the fact that these people had a life just as meaningful as mine. That's the natural thing to do, jontro. There is nothing wrong with you for doing it, and in fact, its probably the healthy thing for you to have done. Anyone on here trying to convince you that you should feel bad or ashamed has never been in your situation, and is way off base.
i saw a guy get sucker-punched, his head smacked the curb right next to me (i was in my car) and i saw him go into seizures and then his friends grabbed him and through him into a truck and drove him to the emergency room (i assume). it made me very noxious and still does when i think about it.
Thanks Eddie. I pass by that spot everyday and now I slow down and look at that spot when I pass it. I swear I've seen a few motorcycle accidents in that street, around that location. I still dislike motorcyclers who drive recklessly. I've been hit a few times by irresponsible motorcyclers, who don't wear helmets to begin with.
I didn't actually see it, but back in high school, I remember there was a huge crowd gathered in the mall area in front of the cafeteria. Too many people to actually see what was going on, but two girls were fighting and yelling at each other, and one of them slammed the other's head into a pillar. The girl started shaking and having seizures. Cops came immediately and took the first girl away, ad the ambulance arrived a few minutes earlier. Never did find out what happened to either of them. It went from really rowdy to really quiet in the span of like 10 seconds.
C'mon dude, really? Is it also ok to cut a rock climber's harness? He's already taking a huge risk that his equipment fails and he falls to his death, why not help him along? If I saw someone give a cyclist the door treatment in a movie, I'd cheer. If I saw it in real life, I'd call the cops. Being annoyed at an ***hole is one thing, attempted murder is another.
