I reread the entire series over the summer before the 6th book came out and reread the 4th book again just before the movie came out. I'm currently stuck on the google videos. these christmas lights are awesome
TV Shows, Video Games, Harry Potter books... Have you considered taking this opportunity to enrich yourself by reading the great classics, history or even just watching TLC or Discovery? Anyway I can sympathize with your plight. I shattered my femur in a motorcycle accident when I was a teen and it really sucked healing. On the plus side I was doped up a lot so I didn't get bored.
TLC is no longer The Learning Channel. It's the wedding/baby/decorate your friends house/throw a party/how to dress channel. I'm already bored with it. And the discovery channel too. I'm just bored with TV in general. I think I'll rent a bunch of TV series on DVD like so many have suggested. It seems like the best solution so far.
read the illuminatus trilogy if you haven't already. or, visit this site for some randomness: http://www.rawilson.com/illuminatus.html
Sorry to hear about the surgery- recovery sucks regardless of the reason. Anyway, I'm with most of the posters- get a free or cheap intro to Netflix AND Blockbuster and get into some long-running shows like the Sopranos- that will definately burn some time. You could also do trilogy marathons like The Lord of the Rings or all six Star Wars flicks. If you like video games, several online games, like Anarchy Online, are free to try, and they can be serious time-suckers. I don't play them for this reason - you start playing at 10 in the morning and look up and it's dark outside. I would suggest getting drunk, since that seems to make time go faster, but you're probably on medication, and stumbling around on a new hip is probably a bad idea.
Watch Texas Hold'em poker all day then go to the free website and play poker all night. If I ever get bored enough I plan to try on-line poker. That'd be right before I read a book.
THAT is so freakin' HI-freakin'-LARIOUS. LOL!!! Megster, No websites. No tv. No reading. Pump some iron and work the ABS. Don't develop a gut while you recover.
watch family guy. 24 is amazing too (i know it's been mentioned), i hear lost and prison break are pretty good as well.
