Good luck. Hope you find another job soon. Getting fired sucks. I got fired once and i felt like crap for about a week or so.
haha chuck is a really good guy... so is calvin, dave and the rest of the crew. dave who co-hosts with calvin is the program director for our station he is the one who let me go today.
They say you're not a man till you get fired.... Or that every man has been fired at least once. Well at least I think that's how the saying goes. Good luck with your next search.
Speaking of which, is it just me or does this station just give static now? I used to get it loud and clear and now it's all staticky I don't even listen anymore. None of the other stations are like that. For a while I thought it even went off the air because of how bad it is.
Between all of us here our signal tower took a direct hit from Ike so it knocked the station off the air for a while. They still aren't back to 100% power. Not sure when / if that will happen. No hard feelings about getting let go... it was just business. I'm not sure if I want to stick with radio or work in a different field... the pay sucked and the hours were terrible (worked from 5pm to 1230am for two days last week running an MLB playoff doubleheader)
Sorry, man. Sounds like you didn't really like this gig anyway, but it always sucks to get canned. Just a matter of time for me, I fear.
Sorry to hear about it King, but remember that things happen for a reason, and you can find opportunity in any situation.
I totally agree.......but dont wait for it to come to you. Figure out what you want to do first. You'll be fine. Good luck man.
Thanks for not being Almu...Sorry to hear about that...Not to sound cliche, but ... When one door closes, another one opens...Just find out what you want to do when you grow up...Buena suerte...
that's radio, i thought you knew the pay sucked and the hours were long going into it. but it definitely sounds like you aren't in the right field. good luck to you.
You probably should have found another job before going Peter Gibbons. Hindsight is 20/20 but that was pretty obvious.
