That's all I see on twitter and all of the sports blogs......As some of yall know I WAS once a Magic fan but most of all because of Dwight Howard, my favorite player in the NBA right now.....I would get Season tickets courtside if Morey got him here!!!!!! I get hyped everytime I see something new about it, so how big are our chances?:grin::grin:

Getting him is one thing, keeping him is another. We could get him, but getting him to sign is possible, but much lower odds.

I can name 5 players we can easily get rid of, that should clear up enough cap space to get him and another semi-big name that he could use as help right?

It definitely could help, but there's no guarantee he will sign. He seems like he really doesn't want to come here.

Yeah he seems more geared towards LA since thats where he's been hiding....but hopefully if he gets the help that could change

I'll go with 25% which I consider pretty damn good all things considered. Of course, getting a post-injury Howard is not the same as getting the version which was one of the healthiest players in the NBA before.

I don't think a single person know this answer, including the Magic and Dwight Howard. It's going to drag out until at least draft day and we'll have to see what other teams are willing to pony up.

I feel exactly the opposite. "IF" the Rockets do land Dwight Howard, I give the Rockets at least 50% chance of retaining him. I feel a much lesser chance of the Rockets getting him though.

We certainly have the assets to land Howard. Given Howard's recent history of hissy fits and the acquisition costs, would it actually be worth it? That is my main concern.

...I think so. If it works out and Howard stays then it's a huge upgrade for the team. If he bolts and you lost half your roster for nothing, it instantly puts us in tank mode and gives us a ton of financial flexibility in one fell swoop. Having the money to throw a max deal at one young superstar and then drafting another at the same time is not a bad consolation prize if Dwight doesn't work out.

dwight has said he wants to be traded !

Magic will get best assets for him....1 year rental

they would want young value players or expiring contracts + picks

    - Lowry (value)
    - Martin (expiring)
    - draft pick

Why do people think dwight wants to come to Houston? Why would he want to leave Orlando and come to another mediocre team?
