    DAYUM.........

That story, Raven, is very familiar as my parents met each other in a similar way. My father had a good friend who was going to Stanford and the summer of '64, he took a class at Vanderbilt. My mother was in the class with him and he felt that she would be a good match for my dad. My dad who was going to MTSU (Middle Tennessee) at the time was told by his buddy to come to a movie with him and his girlfriend (he implied that it would just be the 3 of them). He also invited my mom and made her think the same thing (that it would be just the 3 of them). When my dad showed up and saw that there was this girl along with Robert and his girlfriend, he came very close of turning around and walking back to his car. But he told me he didn't out of respect for my mom. It wasn't long before he started talking to her and he found himself smitten with her. She, of course, was the same with him. They got married at the end of December in '65, just celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary. :)

Funny thing, I've been internet dating for a long time, off and on...Match is a place to date, but IMHO, eharmony is a place to find someone special...

I was single a long time after my divorce and have had one relationship that was off and on for a year...Now I'm very happy to have met someone special that makes it fun to be in love...

I think of her every second and can't wait to see her again...We've only known each other for a little over 44 days...crazy huh...It seems like we've known each other forever...

Sometimes you have to go through some tough dates to truly find the one you can't live without...Good Luck...

As for me, it was back in the fall of 2005, specifically the day that Georgia played Tennessee in Knoxville. I went to a visitation as my boss's wife's father had just passed away after a long battle with cancer. My coming really struck an impression with her and she soon made it her goal to find me someone. Then in the spring of 2006, she had my boss come up to me to tell me about this woman that they went to church with. She was divorced and was a single mother - usually the type of woman I would never go out with, but for some reason, I felt that she would be different. I called her up and immediately liked her just off the first phone conversation. We met later that week for dinner and she hugged me in a way that no other woman had before. It took everything I had not to kiss her (which she told me later was a good thing that I didn't kiss her after that first date). I talked to her like twice on the phone the following week and then we went out on a Saturday to Chattanooga to the Aquarium. We had a great time and I knew that I liked her...a lot. I drove her back to her place and then completely surprised her with a kiss. She absolutely loved it and it just exploded from there. It wasn't long afterwards that we started talking about "well when we are married, we are going to do this and that..." Pretty soon, I was seeing her every day after work and even living with her but sleeping in a separate bed. I started looking for a house close to where she lived and once I found one, I made up in my mind that we were going to get married.

Like moes, I heard from many people (surprisingly my parents weren't one of them) that my marriage would never last. But it will be 2 years this May 30th. And I won't lie by saying it has been all a bed of roses as I went through some incredibly hard times in the Fall of 2006, but we made it through those rough times for the better. There's no doubt that I am with the right person - the love of my life. We have our disagreements, still, but our love only gets stronger each and every day. :)

My voting record has gone like this:

    '92 - Clinton
    '96 - Didn't vote :(
    '00 - Dubya :(
    '04 - Dubya  :(

I actually would have voted against Dubya in '04 but I could not stand John Kerry.

I'm more of a candidate person than a pure party voter (unlike my parents who always vote democratic no matter who the candidate is). If McCain is the Republican candidate, I will probably vote for him. If it is Giulani (sp?), I will vote whoever is running against him (unless it is Hillary). It isn't out of the question for me to even vote for Obama. :)

Well, my sister gave birth to her about 19 years ago and we started dating last month, as soon as she was legal. We're getting married next year and hope to have kids right away because my uncle was recently widowed.

Hold up, here... hold just a minute...

... this doesn't seem right, unless you're quoting a movie or a show, or you live in GEORGIA. :D

Let's see I have know my current girlfriend since the late summer of 200 but we did not start dating until summer of 2006.

I guess we were "good time friends" for about a year after we met and we kept running into each other over the years after that. I know at the time I was in college and had ZERO intentions on dating someone and she had the same boyfriend for like 4 years or so.

Anyway she e-mailed me out of the blue wanting to catch up and I said we would get together for happy hour one day soon. Well that week we ended up being at the same bar and I was on my way to a function so I told her I would call next week. At 2am she called needing a ride I picked her up, took her home we ended up going out that next week and have been together since.

I thought she was pretty and sexy the first time I saw her pic online. She was silk black unlike most others I saw. I ordered her online right away, and pick her up the next day around 10 miles from my place.

I can't keep my hands off her since, we've been together for 2 years now. She's been very helpful with eveything in my life. Even though some of my friends visitng me suggested she is too old for me now, that I should get something better for myself. But I thought she is perfectly fine for me, I can't imagine life without her.

I still love my SONY pc. :p

Y'all stayed in contact for 1806 years? That's impressive. Who drank whose blood?
