So far we get nothing from Luther Head

I figured someone would come with some stats. I'll use stats if I feel they apply. I meant more of the overall play of Tracy so far in the two games. Perhaps I should have been more specific. He is being more aggressive, and when things get tight it seems like Utah switches their defense to specifically stop Tracy. As in, don't let him do anything. He's playing defense quite a bit more. He's really fighting for rebounds instead of just getting the easy ones.

It's easy to generalize and say he didn't do anything in the fourth. It just takes some observation and looking at to see a couple things there. One being if he forces something, he's going to turn it over. B/c c'mon, down the stretch there, Utah says, "Tracy will NOT beat us, someone else will have to." Some argue, well why doesn't he rest more in the first 3 quarters so he won't be so tired in the 4th? Game would have been over before the 4th came around. In both game 1 and 2, he was the SOLE reason we went on runs to make the games close. Buckets, steals, blocks, rebounds, passes...

Did we ever make a real run while he was off the court? I suppose many of you would have rather just missed the playoffs this year. That's exactly what would have happened if Tracy wasn't playing. Go ahead, post stats, we all know that stats are great and are ONE way of measuring a player's value. We know it's not the only way.

I know my words are pointless, b/c if doesn't matter WHO we have on this team, the fan base will always hate on them if they don't bring anything but a 'ship back to Houston. It's the only reason Dream is held in such high regard around here.

Luther Head is garbage. Aaron Brooks did more in one playoff game last night than Head has done in 9 playoff games. All he is good for is shooting 3s. He's a guard, but can't dribble. He can't even make a simple entry pass. He's effective against other scrubs in the regular season, but that's about it. He's a prime candidate to be moved.

for some weird reason, i think chris paul handling the ball in the locker room would have better stats than that

Yeah, I'd even rather take a career 1.4/1.4 guy for 9 million than Luther.

I like how emjohn left off those stats. Scoring isn't everything, the guys is doing everything else better than most star SG's.

Head and everyone else is playing as hard as they can. They just aren't that good. Tmac is the only player that has another level he can go to.

If I were coach A, I would give Novak some minutes when TMAC is playing agressively and efficiently, which means Novak can get open shots. I do not trust Head anymore, period.

We should have traded him off last season. But who is gonna take him? And what are we gonna trade him for?

I guess its gonna be Head/BJax for maybe another player and a first round pick?

    We need to rebuild. somewhat.

Luther plays like a sissy and looks like he's not even thinking about the game...just his own image occupies his mind.

lol luther head blows. i'm not sure why anyone would be surprised that we're getting nothing from him.

bottom line, if you fancy yourself as an elite team, luther head should not be your best swingman. that is absolutely embarrassing.

I've said this in another thread, but it bears repeating:

I still can't believe that at one time in their lives, Luther Head was considered just as good or better than Deron Williams when they were at Illinois. Just thinking about that causes my head to explode.

I hated luther head ever since last year and for a second straight playoff he hasn't done nothing! Rockets need to trade his sorry ass out of Houston and get a decent shooting guard... hopefully rafer can come back and replace him so he won't get anymore burn that he's gettin

Coach: Okay luther listen up, its the last play of the game and we have 3.2 seconds left and we are down by 3. I want you to run around the pic, drive to the free throw line and dish it to Derion willaims for the game shot

Luther: Got it coach!.......hold the ball until the clock runs out

There's not really a big difference!

The worst part about it is that he has regressed with experience.

Someone needs to give him a good long pep talk about stepping up in the playoffs. McGrady, Adelman, Deke, Brooks.....somebody.

maybe utah is just a bad matchup for him. in the 18 games he's faced them he's only had a single good showing.

i think its just nba teams are a bad matchup for him. the only teams he can get a shot off against are teams that run small back-courts (2 point guards or 1 point guard and another undersized shooting guard). and there aren't many of those anymore.

Luther head is almost worthless. all he can do is shoot threes. other than that he's good for 4 turnovers a game
