i still wear my oilers cap and Moon #1 jersey every sunday...

i'm the worlds biggest Oilers fan and I'm still a Titans fan... always will be... i pledged my allegiance to that team for 24 years, no way I can give it up... Sorry Texans, while i'm a fan of your team, i have too many emotional ties to the oilers/titans...

i'll be rooting for TENN in the 2 annual matchups.
maybe if i lived in houston, i'd feel differently, but i don't.

    go titans!

    Wee! Saints creamed the Packers

They are much better than I thought they would be after loosing so many key players.

I can't for the life of me figure out why they don't run more plays for Dante Stallworth... He is as fast as anyone in the NFL

I don't know if Rocket Fan can really gauge right now, but as someone who has lived in Tennessee for practically my whole life, I can tell you, unequivocally, that UT fans are worse than the Titans fans. And that goes for if they are in Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Murfreesboro, Memphis, or even out of state. Their redneck fans are one of the main reasons why I despise Fat Fulmer's bunch so much.

I am so pumped about the Saints. The Texans are definitely my team now, but I have followed the Saints since the Oilers left town, and I will definitely continue to cheer for them as well.

The Saints have been everything I've hoped for and more. I told you guys to look out for them... this is an entirely different team and attitude. Brooks has made some fantastic throws, and Stallworth and Pathon have been the secondary threats to Joe Horn that we've needed for two years.

But, the real different is Deuce. Not only are his numbers fantastic, but he just fits this team so much better than Ricky. His combination of both power and speed and his ability to line up and catch passes like a Marshall Faulk make him the perfect running back for an Aaron Brooks offense.

2-0 with wins over the Bucs and Packers... fantastic start. Sonny, the Bears are going down next weekend!!! :)

Whooo! All you haters out there, who doubt the greatest team of 35+ year olds ever, You got another thought coming! RAIDERS ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!

Gannon set the NFL record tonight for most completions in a non-overtime game, and 2nd all time behind Bledsoe in 94. I think the steelers defense just got EXPOSED. WE ARE 2-0 AND GOING TO BE WELL-RESTED!!!!!!!

RAIDA NATION IS BACK IN BLACK!

I'll just say that I am very happy and surprised to see my Broncos at 2-0. I was hoping for a split of the first 2 games, and was even thinking that 0-2 was more of a possibility. After all, playing the Rams and 49ers to start off the season was not an easy thing to do.

Brian Griese has struggled at times, but he has come through when the team has needed it. Mike Anderson, Olandis Gary, and Clinton Portis all give them 3 different backs with different styles. Having Ed McCaffrey back (healthy) along with Shannon Sharpe has been huge, as well. Sharpe is definitely a guy who will lead in the clubhouse. Another key addition to the offense has been offensive tackle, Ephraim Salaam.

However, it is the defense that has helped the Broncos go 2-0. Trevor Pryce has been playing great at his new position of DE. Lional Dalton (all 350 lbs of him) has turned out to be a great pick-up and along with Chester McGlockton, a great run-stuffer. Mobley, Al Wilson, and Ian Gold are all fast and athletic LBs. Deltha O'Neal has continued to get better and better as a cover corner, Denard Walker is solid, and Kenoy Kennedy is quickly becoming the next Steve Atwater in terms of laying the lumber on people.

As long as the Broncos can avoid the injury bug, I see them battling the hated Raiders for the top spot in the West & maybe for the best record in the AFC.

The Saints look VERY strong. The passing game is very tough. Deuce is a nice back. I think the Bears D will stop Deuce and try to limit Brooks. Chicago's D is great at stopping the run and so-so at the pass, they just don't get the best rush on the QB. The Saint's D lost several key players over the offseason, but they are still solid. I think the game will be very close.

    Manny-

    Two things......

I've been watching Broncos myself this season, mostly because Griese has been my fantasy starter for 3 years now (picked him in the 9th round this year...no one gives the kid any respect). I have been really impressed with their D this season. Their three-headed RB attack is exasperating for roto-nuts like me but it wreaks havoc on defensive coordinators' strategies. Hope they stick with Griese, I think he's a much better QB than Beurlein. Of course I have both QBs on my team just in case Shanahan gives up.

As a 5-year resident of Nashville (1989-1994) I can attest to the annoying tendencies of the UT fans. People in Texas complain about Aggies, but they have never witnessed the freakshow that occurs when the Rocky Top crew pulls into town. As a former bartender of 2nd Ave, I can tell you that as a whole they dont tip well, either. Of course as a Vandy fan I have a major chip on my shoulder because we are TN's b****....but then again, as anyone will tell you, Vandy fans are at the games to drink and hit on sorority girls.

Anyone at all familair with the Saints know during the most important moments of the season either their coaches and players or both simultanously will screw it up. You can bank on it.
TB will still win their division despite their special teams completely blowing the Saints game.

I think the Dolphins are sure glad the Saints didn't think they could use Ricky any more and would part for him for a late 1st.

The Pats and Raiders will play for the AFC title with the winner being superbowl favs. The difference between them and the Fish and Broncos--other fellow good balanced teams-- is the former have better QB playmakers when all else breaks down.

How bout dem Cowboys!!!! I can't understand Oiler fans liking the Titans. At least the Browns have their hatetread in the right place (Baltimore). The Titans and Bud are forever losers, like the Saints but in an even more spectacular fashion (they wait until the stakes get really high).

The Lams look about ready to go 0-3 and overall look pretty physicially inept. They could still make the playoffs though because SF, their only real long term comp, will at best have a 2 game lead. If the Rams start 0-3, I don't see them getting to the SB even if they win their division though. Of course it looks to me most of the elite teams are in the AFC.

This is so true! I have only been to Neyland Stadium once in my whole life. It was back in 1997 when UT played Georgia and they wound up smoking the Dawgs. I was getting excited early on because Robert Edwards of Georgia (who tore them up the last time he played them in Knoxville in 1995) was doing well on the first drive. That drive fizzled out, so they attempted a field goal. They missed it, and you would have thought that the miss was for the National Championship! This one redneck in front of me, turned around and pointed at me and said "F*ck you!" as loud as he could. Needless to say, I didn't say another word that game. All in all, it was a miserable experience. The only bright spot was when me and the 2 other guys who went with me (they both hated UT as well) saw this car drive up to this drunk UT fan and ask him "How about them Gators" and drove off! That UT fan went ballistic! It was a very comical scene.

    Hey Sonny.... great game today.

I must say, I have underestimated the Bears some in the last two years... that team is clutch. Fortunately, they just had about 30 seconds too few to make it happen today. Great game all-around, except for those silly Saints mistakes in the first half. We'll probably see you again in the playoffs.

Go Saints! 3-0 with wins over Tampa, Green Bay, and Chicago, with two on the road... can't get much better.
