I've been to Egypt (Cairo) and i've been to South Africa (Cape Town and Durban). I have not been to Morocco. Between South Africa and Egypt it's not even close. South Africa wins hands down in every aspect except safety which i would say is a tie. As i said i have never been to Morocco so i cannot really compare.
Hey Egypt didn't deserve it, so screw 'em if they can't be enthusiastic enough about putting a serious bid for the World Cup. So good for SA, I am really happy for them because of the history of the country and how far they have come. No hard feelings here at all, I was cheering for them like crazy against Mexico earlier today. On a funny side note, Jay Mariotti on ESPN today was mentioning how team buses were being delayed because they had to stop to allow for elephants to cross the road. He says his biggest concern was Team USA missing the game tomorrow because of these damn elephants
Your so called " police " couldn't even handle a group of teenagers throwing rocks and injuring the Algerian national team 2 days before a huge qualifying game.
I would be thrilled to see both of those places have the Cup in addition to South Africa. Give the tickets to the locals and let the jetsetters watch it on satellite. Plus, something to remember other than Sadat getting killed....and Ishtar.
I am pretty sure those countries would not be thrilled by the idea of just the locals attending the games. The World Cup host countries care about one thing above all else: tourism money. Granted, there are a lot of rich people in those countries, but it is the foreigners who spend most of the money, and they tend to overpay for everything
