If you can ALWAYS get stuff sent to a business. When I worked for Asurion (cell phone insurance) we would constantly get calls from customers not recieving their packages from DHL. Usually because they lived out in the middle of nowhere or too far from a facility. Yet, if the business was like 10 minutes from the home, they could deliver. Strange.
I had my dose of bad experience with DHL. I sent some perishable goods to Italy and they screwed it up (lost in a warehouse mid way and delivered after a week). I called them up requesting a refund and they admitted that it was their fault but told me that, somewhere in the fine-print, I was supposed to take the responsibility. I did not bother to find the fine-print. I never used DHL since.
I'm having a problem with FedEx as follows: 1.) Try to deliver package. I'm not home. Leave tag on door that says "indirect signature required" with a clearly marked "X" on where to sign my name. I do that and leave tag on door in plain sight. 2.) Delivery guy comes around next day. I'm not home. Instead of taking the signature on the tag and leaving the package on my doorstep, he leaves another tag that says "direct signature required" meaning I must be home to sign for it in person. Now, I'm pissed. 3.) Call up FedEx and inquire why I'm getting conflicting information here. She says no direct signature is required, package should have been left at door, and signature tag should have been taken from door tag. Says she will make a note to leave package. 4.) I'm waiting to see what happens today and whether they leave it. How hard is it to follow the procedures you have established for package delivery? I've never had this problem before. I'll chalk it up to the 2nd delivery guy being dazed and confused.
wonderful, now it's BACK at the DHL facility. 12/18/2007 6:29 am Arrived at DHL facility. Houston - Hobby, TX
get this. i called this morning telling this i'm going to pick it up. the rep says, "ok, someone will call you back in an hour to confirm that what's what you want to do." i say fine. one hour later, he calls and says, "hey, the item is on a truck and we'll deliver it." i say to him, "so i DON'T have to pick it up b/c you're going to deliver it?" that was at 11 this morning. guess what? the ****in' package still ain't here. WTF?
That's lame. I would've called and told them to tell me where the effin truck was at that moment so I could meet it before it went anywhere else.
