I don't mean to be negative or pessimistic but its Moochie freaking Norris we're talking about here. I'm glad you were joking around, I just hope there aren't people in this forum that actually think he's gonna have a good year. He showed nothing last year at all. I never thought he was any good to begin with, but after last year I'm wondering about the availability of Matt Maloney.

My prediction.... Moochie is most improved Rocket due to JVG.

If this is any indication of The Mooch's new found dedication to his game, I might have to retire my patented "Moochie * " forever...

Just wanted to say that I've laughed 4 different times now, after reading this.

    I know it's there.
    I know the punch line.
    I know it's funny.
And I keep coming back to read it.

    heypartner and OmegaSupreme -

If JVG can get Moochie to stop dribbling the air out of the ball, he will have earned his keep. Moochie's 16-18 minutes a game just killed us this past season. I have a vein that bulges on my head that I've named after him, since it always appears when he dribbles out the clock.

I am excited that Moochie is focusing on his physical condition and his play, not his appearance. Now if we can just get Calvin Murphy into Norton Ditto.

Wow he lost his fro and some weight? I'd rather lose his salary. Seriously, if it wasn't for his afro do you think anyone would really know who he is? A marginal back-up PG getting way too much money.

I don't know but in his first 2 years with the Rox I loved Mooch, and it wasn't just the hair (he had corn rolls most of the time). He was a great back up and a very clutch player. In the first 2 years, I would like to have him on the court over any other player except maybe Francis to take the last shot because he was that good in the clutch. But then after he got the contract last season, I think he got lazy. But if he decides he actually wants to have a basket ball career, he can be damn good.

Moochie plays really good street ball believe it or not. He played a game @ Rucker Park in New York and people were really amazed that this was Moochie Norris from the Houston Rockets. He probably cut his hair because change is good and they are moving into a new building. If he gets quality playing time he would look like the same back up guard he was when steve was out with those headaches.

    Ditto!

I know the vast legion of "Moochie Haters" won't like this, but I fully expect Moochie to have a very good season. He is not a superstar nor an all star so at least one down year is to be expected. Last year had to be it. In consideration of his previous two years, I have to give him the benefit of the doubt.
