LOL, Nice. Apparently he has had the hardest time adjusting to the new offense. This was said to have been expected.
Nobody really knows except the coaches. He says he is 100% healthy but I want to see if he is still as quick and as explossive as he was. We will need to see what his role will be , starting pg or more as a scorer off the bench.
I thought the same but now I'm sure and I really hope MJ will start. Steve could be very effective off the bench I think
It sounds like Francis is struggling and James is excelling. I'm starting to expect to see James as the starter to begin the season with Francis off the bench. I also expect to see Alston getting rotation minutes.
People are saying that MJ will start because he is the much better jump shooter of the 2. Also, reports say he is a better cutter than SF3. If Francis is in the second unit he will have a lot more freedom to dribble and penetrate because he and Bonzi will be running the show not Tmac and Yao. Thats just the reports ive been hearing.
Regarding the questions about whether he has regained his quickness and explosiveness. Feigen mentioned that he still got to the basket like he did in the old days, so he must not have lost more than a step.
IMO Mike James>SF Brooks is a rookie and Alston well is what he is so I think Steve will play and play alot but I think Yao, T-Mac, Battier and James are all better players and Wells, Scola and maybe even Brooks as the season moves on are all either just as important to this team or very close to what Steve can bring. I'm all for the Francis signing it was/is very low risk and possible high reward and it's gonna be very intresting to watch T-Mac, Yao and Steve all on the floor at the same time.
