We're gonna miss Snyder's energy and athleticism, especially rebounding.

I like V Span's play tonight, he brought some energy, didn't force any unnecessary shots, and allowed some open looks from penetrating to the basket. Hopefully, he can continue to play smart.

Where ya at Bonzi? Time to be a Rocket!

no knucklehead lovin for bonzi?

im jk. yes this is a blessing in disguise and to all the board memebers:

this is where we TRULY see how well jvg's coaching can take us. two solid role players are out and now we the pressure is even higher in improving his rotation decision making.

Hate to see snyder hurt, but it is a blessing in disguise. Snyder has played ok, but nothing spectacular and nothing that can't be replaced. This will force JVG to play Bonzi who is better than snyder anyways, and also give vspan a chance to play. Won't really help novak though, unless howard gets injured.

    Actually I take it back.

It's not a blessing in disguise.

    Because there is no disguise.

    It's an OBVIOUS blessing.

We all knew Vpsan and Novak needed to be tested to see how they fit in Rockets long term plan.

It's just that Gundy's stubborn nature wouldnt allow it.

It actually might end up being a blessing for Gundy.

    But boy is he slow......

I can't agree with it being a blessing, I mean the guy is hurt, and hurt bad.

I think it will give an opportunity to V-Span, that he might not have gotten, but I feel really bad for Kirk Snyder, I liked it when he attacked the rim.

    His jump shot...."not so much"

Depends on whether you are looking at it in terms of long term or short term success.

    Short term, its a loss.

    Long term, it's a gain.

We know what Snyder can do. When he gets back, we know he will do the same. Except maybe that broken hand will fix his outside shot!

Now we need to find out what these other young munchkins who have been rotting on the bench can do and how they fit in the Rockets long term plan.

God bless him. I like his game.

When I watch the game, it looks like not that hard, broken , dam, our human body is so weak.

time for bonzi. Vspan and Novak should get some minutes regardless, but it's time for bonzi to step up, and show up. Padgett didn't play much D tonight (or cudn't), I dont know how much worse Novak is, at least he's 2 inches taller, and a better shooter. Anyways, Bonzi wanted to play, here's his chance, Wednesday night.

Snyder is athletic, brings defence and can get to the line even if his shooting is poor. It is a loss. VSpan will work hard but until Bonzi gets in shape we will be hard pressed at the 2 spot.

If this is really a blessing in disguise, does that mean JVG is not the right coach?

Be careful of what you ask for....

Synder is definitely going to be gone for 6-8 weeks, or longer depending on the seriousness of the fractures. Our bench is suddenly thining to an uncomfortable level.

Losing one of your rotational guards to a 3 month injury is not a blessing. There were certain players in the rotation who didn't seem to deserve the minutes they were getting, but Snyder wasn't one of them.
