When I was down in '04, we drove from Magnolia to Brazoria/Angleton on Christmas morning. I can't even count the amount of cars that were in the ditch.

Prediction: It will be bad if there is snow still on the road.

I've got at least 3 inches too, about 10 minutes to your west on the East Beltway. Crazy stuff. Pretty much went nonstop from 6:30-11, with the first wave coming in around 4:30. It's the most snow I've ever seen while living down here, that's for sure.

    12:26 civilian time,

I've had so many cups of coffee and abuelita's hot chocolate, that I will not be able to sleep. Snow has remained entrenched its position.

    Just saw this thread...

We had slight, slight flurries with no sticking in Plano yesterday, then earlier today my dad calls and tells me they were getting snow in Lake Jackson and Jones Creek (Brazoria County, south of Houston).

By night fall they had about 5 inches on the ground, sticking.

I NEVER saw snow like that in Brazoria County... my whole life. It always just hit the ground and was gone within moments.

Nice. Have fun, but beware of idiot drivers becoming even more idiotic.

I got up and looked before I went to work this morning (about 6:30), apparently there had been 13 accidents already. I hate Houston drivers...

Got some in Kingwood last night. Not as much as in 04, but still fun. Too bad I'm sick and couldn't go outside to frolic around in it.

And why are the HOV lanes closed today?!?!?

Traffic was actually lighter this morning than usual. Thankfully there were no accidents on my way to work. Of course someone called in to say that she would be an hour or so late even though she doesn't live in an area where the roads are troublesome. :p

I woke up early to get a rush on to work before the weirdos hit the road and started killing people, so I didn't get to watch the news. Any idea on how much snow the east side received? It had to be close to 6 inches in Pasadena. Snowed straight from 5:30 pm to 11:30 pm.

Crazy that it's gonna be spring like come Sunday.

We're supposed to come a big snowfall on Sunday. Feel free to come up here and shovel my driveway so you can get your fill of snow.
