Well I didn't think it was that awful.

Sure it wasn't funny at all, but compared to last year, it was laugh out loud funny.

I was disappointed with WU, but that Finesse guy was pretty talented.

Kenan isn't that old; he did do a great Cosby impersonation.

And on top of that, I learned that Jack Black is Jewish. That's spectacular, even though he isn't.

I do hear his new movie is getting rave reviews though.

I don't know what people are talking about, that show was pretty strong. The opening sketch, funny, the monologue was an instant classic, Seth Meyers wasn't the focus of that MTV sketch, it's like you guys didn't even pay attention to Maya, Amy, and JB during that puppy, they were great.

Liked the Yankee cartoon, WU was good because Tina Fey looks good, the Bill Cosby thing was funny. Queer Eye was ok, again, Tina was looking really good. I liked the wine spitting sketch, I don't know, it just didn't seem to get old to me. The telemarketer song was good too, especially with one of Jack Black's ventrili-solos.

Thumbs down from me. All around weak show given who was hosting. I expected more.

What they needed was a lot more Jack Black. I liked his Russian dance and donkey kicks.

Even their best skits were just average last night.

The Arnold opening was lame because the impersonation was so bad imo. It didn't look like arnold, didn't sound like arnold, so what's the point again?

    The monologue was pretty good.

    Thong crap unfunny and lame.

MTV skit sucked. SNL should just stop doing MTV skits period, as I can't remember a single outstanding one they've done yet.

    lesbo thing was alright.

hairy chef sucked. I can't believe that's a regular skit.

Tina fey delivered a couple of decent zingers in the weekend update, but Fallon sucked(as usual), the dude talking about the movies sucked(stuttering, nervous, pointless), and it was funny seeing Kenan already use his sole crutch of doing a good Cosby impersonation in a lame 2 minute weekend update filler in the 1st episode. Oh, and they coulda hit one out of the park with the Limbaugh story, but they managed to f that up as well.

The wine testing was bleh. Too little too late.

Also nice tease of showing Ferrell but not using him in the show. Thumbs down on that.

And yes, they did manage to under-utilize Jack Black.

Overall very weak, and most likely will spiral downward from here.

I mostly agree with Oski here, although for some reason the opening sketch fell flat with me. I didn't like Darrell Hammond's Arnold, I guess. The monologue had me pissing my pants though. The MTV sketch was a big dissapointment, because considering how much I hate the Wade Robinson project, I was hoping they'd mock it far far worse.

The hairy chef sucked for the most part, except for Fred Armisen's (sp?) character, who had me rolling.

The rest of the show was pretty unmemorable, although the telemarketer sketch was pretty funny. For some reason I laughed like crazy when Kenan held up that football phone. He looked so sad...

The Yankee Superhero skit was A+ work, I don't think Smigel could write a crappy sketch if he tried.

The Cosby impersonation was also very nice. Good work Kenan.

    other than that....

    WORST EPISODE EVER.

Record this one in the record books: a show featuring Jack Black that didn't produce a single laugh.

The Wade Robson Project sketch was terrible. It was obvious they expected the guy's "dance" moves to absolutely kill and have that carry the sketch, but the audience farted on it big time. Rightfully so. I bet they'll still try to do it again, though. Yikes. Kenan's Cosby might have some legs if they don't overdo it.

Woof. We're appraoching 1980's Anthony Michael Hall bad SNL here. Gonna be a long season.
