http://www.imdb.com/news//wenn/#3 Now Eminem's Caught Lip-Syncing on TV Bosses of American satirical show Saturday Night Live were left embarrassed by Eminem last night when the rapper lipsynced through parts of his two performances on the show. A week after Ashlee Simpson's miming fiasco made headlines, Eminem failed to keep up with his own guide track as he performed politically-charged "Mosh" and new hit "Just Lose It." This came after guest host Kate Winslet poked fun at last week's lip-syncing controversy during her opening monologue. She said, "I'm thrilled to be hosting Saturday Night Live. I can assure you it is live because I'm hyperventilating a bit. I do however wish it wasn't the week after the Ashlee Simpson incident because now I really do have to perform live." Winslet then showed off her tap-dancing and singing skills - to prove that the show was completely live. Winslet's stint on the show was a hit - she played Norah Jones and a female Dr. Frankenstein in skits on the program. Meanwhile, Saturday Night Live writers further poked fun at Simpson when regular comic Horatio Sanz performed, Ashlee Simpson' you're a phoney...' to the tune of Elton John's "Tiny Dancer."
SNL sucks as it is but this puts a bigger hole in their program. You'd think they would learn, thats jsut sad.
Lip-syncing rap?!? How hard can it be to do that live on stage??? Too hard, I guess. Pathetic. (I have even more respect for Kate Winslet now, though.)
I had 60 minutes on and they kept delaying the piece, so eventually I just changed the channel out of boredom.
I cought of bit of the 60 minutes piece and they were talking with Lorne Green and they asked him if knew of anyone other then Ashlee Simpson had ever lip synched on the show and he said to his knowledge no one ever had. I found that funny because I`ve seen quite a bit of it...the latest was Eminem. There were 2 times during his first song that he stopped singing and the vocals kept coming. He does a good job holding the mike just right so you cant really see his mouth
If true, then Eminem should be getting sh*t even worse than Ashlee. I saw the first song but I couldn't tell. I thought for sure Eminem would be singing. If he can't sing his own rhymes live, then he's another phoney. What is his excuse? Where is the guy around here with the SNL friend who is on set? Please talk to your friend and find out why Eminem is pulling an Ashlee. Edit: Lorne Green, aka Commander Adama, is back from the grave for a 60 minutes interview on a non-relevant topic. Hahah.

Was it possible that Eminem was also making fun of Simpson by blatantly lip-synching himself? Didn't see the segment, but if it was obvious, he probably did it on purpose. He loves making statements and making fun of people like that.
I saw twice when Eminem put down the mic, and the voice was still going, at first I thought it was just a delay, I mean how hard is it to rap? Eminem can't even remember his own line or something?
Eminem lip-syncing? But I thought he was a "genius" I caught the 2nd song he did and it was very obvious. You can tell because of the studio effects on his voice track. It didn't even sound close to being live. I didn't think much of it because every time I see him on any award-type show, he does the same thing. "Genius" my ass. Chuck D would never lip-sync.
I rap and have preformed at club riddims,roxy, but nothing big tho(just talen shows . When me and my group preforn, we have the actual studio track playing, and we ask the dj to turn the mics down. Cause when u preform live, it doesnt come out as good as it does in the studio. So I could under stand why he kept putting the mic down. On another note, it hard as f*c* to hold your breath when your spittin a 16(On Verse) **** he did 48 and plus 3 hooks. His wordplay is difficult so i can understand why he couldnt say at all.

i can't fathom the uproar there would be if bruce dickinson of iron maiden (just the greatest f*cking band in the world) was lip syncing at a concert. but as far as these pop/rap stars are concerned, if you can't sing it live why the hell put it in the album then?
