it was in there, towards the beginning. Kristen Wiig had a HILARIOUS cameo as some expert on something that couldn't stop saying "Just Kidding," and then Fred Armisen stepped in as a Political Comedian that couldn't finish a sentence. The actual news stories, as always, were hit-or-miss. On an unrelated note, is Kenan Thompson just a background character now? He's not funny anymore, and he certainly doesn't get any key roles in the skits. Not every skit can be about Bill Cosby. that Amy/Bar song/Pedophile sketch was really good.
I thought that Gnarls Barkley was going to be the only reason to watch tonight, and maybe a good SNL Digital Short. The whole ep was pretty damn good. The only annoying thing was the expected Demi Moore cameo, but even the monologue bit about what a producer does was funny. "turn the lights up by .5.....hmm, that's too bright. Turn the lights down by .5, ahhh, perfect. Producing!" The Cougar's Den was funny, i'm still cracking up about Bill Hader as Dave Matthews on that Jack Johnson talk show.
This was the first new SNL episode I've watched in a long time. I just didn't find it funny anymore. But this episode had me laughing during pretty much every skit. The only one that was lame was the opener. I'm still laughing about the Death by Chocolate today.
