Let’s try to clear the air on this subject. The reason I posted this is because I have many of African-American friends and Hispanic friends. Me being a white man in America love my black friends and my Hispanics friends, but why do I feel like the majority of my Hispanic friends hide behind their heritage? “My guess is pride” I have many coworkers at my job right now that use their Spanish as a crutch knowing damn well they understand English. One example is a female that’s been in this country for 25 years from Mexico, and still claims she doesn’t understand English which I know damn well she does. I know one thing, if I lived in Mexico for 25 years you can bet your ass I would be speaking Spanish. Please help me explain this phenomenon

 

I’m not trying to get into a pissing match with all of y’all, but I’m trying to understand the situation that I am in. A situation that I have experienced firsthand for many of years

 

I’ll be honest with everyone here right now. I love my black friends because what you see is what you get. I don’t trust my Hispanic friends because I either don’t understand them, or they’re trying not to understand me which causes all kinds of confusion and miss trust

I know I’m fixing to stir up a bunch of comments over my above statements, but the reality is I don’t trust Hispanics anymore than I can throw them. I’ve started this thread because of what has transpired with the Astros, and at least 80% of that team is made up of players from a Hispanic heritage. Please help me change my thought process over this
