    Yeah, because morally speaking we tend to (or pretend to) place human lives higher than animal lives....

    shoulda just tell the hospital he's an illegal alien and got no insurance.

    When I was in France, my son had an elbow pop out of joint. I didn't know what the problem was and took him to an emergency clinic there. The doctor fixed it in about 6 seconds. A month later, I got a bill at my US address for over $50. Where's my socialist healthcare, France!?

    An uncle of mine went to the ER for kidney stones. Cost: $7k. That seemed like a huge amount to me but what do I know about hospitals.
