Think the Heat fans are going to crucify him like McGrady over here when he said he wish he could of played with Duncan?
No. Wade is a warrior who led them to a championship and is the best thing that ever happened to that franchise. His leaving will cause the Heat to sink into oblivion. None of these are true with McGrady.
dominant = dunk in case you do not know ... TD has quietly won 4 rings, he's called big fundamental, great pf ever, but you rarely hear ppl say he's dominant. But this new Howard guy ...
What is a "dominant" center? Or a "dominant" player even? Is it offense, defense, strong physical style of play that indicates dominance? Is it ability to take over a game? Yao and Dwight both can dominate in their own way.
 lots of Yao hate in here. Could replace Yao's name with T-mac and it'd read like a regular T-mac bashing topic. Maybe Yao will opt out and sign with Miami if they tell Yao beforehand, we want you with Wade and we'll guarantee you a contract if you opt out.
After watching that Orlando/Miami game, i can see why Wade wants to play with Howard. With all those airball 3s Wade jacked up, you definitely need a center who can react quick enough for the put back. Every perimeter wants to play with Howard because he's physical, athletic, and, above all else, healthy. If Yao wasn't injury prone it'd be a different story.
Yao Ming is the answer man you know what else? he looks good in a rockets uniform, i got him in 2k10, he looks just like a normal rocket, i had melo before, but melo looks weird
wade did win with a broken down shaq. he might just well win with a broken down yao. get it done morey.
Wade may want to play with Yao. First of all, he has a ring already. For him, the most important thing may be his popularity, international recognition. If he plays with Yao, he will get more ASG votes than James and Kobe.
I can't imagine any super star free agents making a long-term commitment to playing with Yao at this point -- certainly not Wade.
i think Yao fits the definition of dominant, based on how wade used the word....we should know by now that yao absence changed the dynamics of our lineup, and just having a back up center in there doesn't give the same effect... And what van gundy said doesn't matter, it won't influence wade.
Wouldn't a winner--like Wade--want to continue winning championships? I mean, what are the odds he'll say "Guys, I already got my one solitary ring. I'll let Bosh, LeBron and Melo catch up while I waste away prime years playing about 60 games a season along side Yao" ?
Really? a 15 million dollar cap hit who suits up for 0 games is better to have on your roster than an average center, a la Hasin Gortat? I highly doubt that anybody would consider that true.
Yao and Dwight are both dominant in their own ways and Wade's preference for Dwight is pretty easy to see why: Howard's athletic, can defend well, and doesn't slow down the offense. In other words, it's a better fit for Wade's style of play. I'm sure if you ask Kobe he'd prefer to play with Yao than Dwight.
Well if Yao could stay healthy Wade could definitely win some more rings. That's a big risk for Wade to take though.
I wasn't discounting Wade wanting to play or prefering D12, i just meant Yao fits too and van gundy was just joking Wade should head West so he wouldn't stand in the way of the Magic...
