SMU fan checking in here. I have been very impressed with the ponies this year. Two disappointing overtime losses, but i'm hoping we can still get 6 wins and go to honolulu. Despite our progress, this is still going to be a stomping. I'm thinking Houston by four touchdowns.
If SMU doesn't turn the ball over this could be a close game. UH gives up a ton of yards. Houston is 111th out 120 Division 1-A teams in yards allowed. But amazingly the defense has held five of its six opponents to below their season scoring averages...Timely turnovers and 11th in the nation in red-zone performance.
SMU fan here as well - those OT losses might end up being what keeps the Ponies out of a bowl this year. Not too impressed with the progress of Bo Levi in year two, but hoping the second half of the year (and hopefully the extra month of practices if/when they make a bowl game) will help in his progression.
the game is on cable - CBS Sports channel my prediction SMU 48 UH 48 ...game called @ midnight ! (I went to undergrad at SMU and got 2 grad degrees at UH - so I can't pick either)
Ok wtf...UH, a local team, is ranked 17th in the nation. And yet they can't get their games on tv...FSN Houston? Comcast Sports? 55 the Tube? No, just a channel that is not part of standard digital.
I don't know if he's an idiot or not, but $2 million a season in Conference USA for a Run-N-Shoot coach in 2009 sounds pretty effing r****ded. Let's go ahead and compare that tax write-off to their 8.33% share of Liberty Bowl earnings.
He's so overrated. Colt Brennan lol. I remember him trying to argue that Colt Brennan was without question the best QB in College Football.
Taking Hawaii to a BCS game can get you that type of cash I guess. They were way overmatched in that game vs Georgia but we can only hope the Coogs can atleast get that type of shot in the next couple of years.
Yep, that was nice. Then the damn hooters place I was at decided to change from the game to the UFC fight, a-holes. That place was packed, so many wanted to watch gay porno...
Nice, to see the defense have a good game. Disappointed in the attendance, I thought they were close to a sellout a few days ago.
I was almost sure it was either sold out or close. There were people out in the parking lot trying to buy tickets before the game.
