Look, if you folks want to discuss bad hypothetical trades like this one for Alan Hou$ton - the $100 million man, then why not go all out and propose something REALLY horrible like Mo Taylor to Dallas for Shawn Bradley. Now THAT'S a trade that I GUARANTEE nobody in Houston will agree to or like!

You all must be on drugs!

Houston and Mobley are nowhere near the same player. Houston would school Mobley any day of the week.

Houston had his best season in 02/03, and looks to be getting better. You don't put up 50 on Kobe without a low post presence if your a slouch, they guy can flat-out play. He improved his defence considerably last season, and took the team on his shoulders. Personally, if Dice comes back 100%, i wouldn't trade Houston. He has the ability to keep the D spread and allow Dice to go one on one on the block. You double down low, you pay on the perimeter.

He would be perfect nect to Yao, a dominant inside/outside combo.

Yes he is overpaid, but the guy is a playa.

Absolutely agreed upon, only that I would try to get rid of Moochie and get (Eisley or Ward) if possible.

hmm...seems like the quote can be referring to either players or coaches (even tho I prefer the latter). I just hate to see the Rox taking on another ridiculous contract, i.e. A. Houston's.

On if he would like to bring in some guys or coaches he is familiar with to ease the transition in Houston:
JVG: Certainly, I think everybody when they take over a job - if you’ve been a head coach before, some people have done a great job for you and had some success. I had some guys with the Knicks that played a huge part in any sort of success that we may have had, so I’m going to try to bring some guys here that have been so good and so much a part of any success we had in New York. I’d like to bring them here.

All I know is that there have been rumors about 2 knicks comin to Houston Spree and well Houston! All I know is HELL NO I dont want them here!!!!!! Why would we want Houston which earlier was called a Mobley clone when we can have the real Mobley and at a cheaper price. We dont need such a BIG ass contract!!

I would not like to take on Houston's contract, but I do think he is a great player. I would not ming this trade:

    Cato+Taylor+Griffin

    for

    Houston+Doleac+Williams

Thats a horrible trade. We lose our backup center a starting Pf and our best player off the bench no way thats a bad trade but I would do this one

    Cato+Taylor+Rice

    for

    Houston+Harrington

what about trading cuttino, mo taylor, and EG for A. houston and kurt thomas. I think he is a good PF but do not know if he would do well in the west or how old he is. but we would lose bad contracts and get one.

If the Rockets got Alan Houston, they would be a dominating team in my estimation. Houston is a tremendous shooter. He is one of the best pure shooters in the league. If the Rockets had Houston they would have an inside game (with Yao), a drive to the basket game (Francis) and an outside killer (Houston).

If you want to kick it up a notch, you do the Rice/Robinson trade.

Now that would be some team

    Yao (c)
    EG (pf)
    Robinson (sf)
    Houston (sg)
    Francis (pg)

    Good god.
