Well, Aaron Brooks understands none of it.

And it has really hurt our team. Ish gave us a very solid shot to beat an excellent team at their own house, because of his tempo. Very good performance for a rookie. I hope he continues to work on his floaters/shooting. He could be a very solid pro, imo...

He just needs to learn to finish. The Spurs were obviously daring him to shoot.

I like Ish and I like AB, but they have different strengths...and are both effective players.

What I don't like are morons who don't understand that a PG can have different roles and still be effective.....

AB and KM have to be much much more efficient to offset their ineffectiveness on defensive end. It's like 5 vs 3 when playing defense. No way you can win like that.
KM is in a better situation than AB since he can draw fouls.
AB has to sit on the bench or simply get traded.

The scrambling is called broken plays. Brooks and Martin would've scored on those plays.

Yes. The ball movement was beautiful. Ish's pacing, decision making and instincts with the ball in a pick and roll are outstanding.

I would agree, but that means that we better find an offball wing that can control tempo in the 4th quarter. It is the one thing that McGrady used to do pretty damn well...

If you don't have a skill-set of a PG, don't try to play the role of a PG, pea-brain!

Or maybe Brooks would have dribbled off his foot or Martin would have flopped and gotten no call.

The point is for the first time this year the ball was moving, the offense was patient, and everyone was getting involved. Was that Battier's first corner 3 this year? And we actually saw what Courtney Lee could do when he's given the chance.

This Rockets team is at it's best when we go small, WEe play tough press and trap defense. However Brooks and Yao ar the opposite. Brooks cant play defense and Yao cant guard a snail anymore. Keep Hill as a starter and bring Yao off the bench and play him 15 minutes a night. the Smaller lineup will get us a better defensive outfit.

Well, that's thing...you shouldn't be getting the same results from bench players as your starters. Courtney and Ish don't have half the talent AB and Martin have and yet they pushed the Spurs to OT and had their chances to win this game.

WHY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT ISH SMITH AND NOT HOW MUCH WE MISSED AARON BROOKS?

See this is case 101 or what I am taking about.

A guy has no clue that you can win with a traditional PG or a scoring PG....and even without a PG.....

Many ways to skin a cat, but some people don't have enough brain cells to understand that fact.

Don't think this has been addressed yet, but did anyone notice that Smith is a much better defender than Brooks? Against pick and rolls, Brooks likes to go under the pick which gives his man a wide open jumper. Tonight, Smith fought over them.

We are talking about Ish because he was in the game, but he played decently, but not good by any stretch....his shooting was beyond pathetic.

    BTW folks....AB....had 18 points at the half......but nah...the Rox didn't need him.....

Dude, nothing has been going great, a loss is a loss, there is nothing to celebrate about losing....nothing.
