Smeggums, Don't know how you manage 200 points one week and then 60 another. But thanks for bringing the 60 to our matchup and not the 200!
Looks like you got through that stretch just fine. A new personal best for my team. Sidney Rice looked like Jerry versus that terrible Lions secondary.
I approve of you defeating the team one game back from me. I also pray Rice doesn't get 300 yards vs. Cleveland tonight. If he does, then Suggs needs at least 15 sacks.
So how do the playoff seedings work in this league? League champs plus wild cards, two top teams in each league, points??? I'm just worried for Rook.
First Owen Daniels, then Ronnie Brown, then Steve Smith, now Michael Turner, man the IR room is getting crowded and my season is heading down the crapper , can I hold on to that last playoff spot, will see? Even if I do, it will be another playoff disappointment, I vow to not get rid of the "Rook" till after I win one of these league (baseball/football/basketball) championships - I seem to make it to the dance each time, but fall when I get there.
I believe and someone can correct me if I am wrong, playoffs are top two teams in each divisions and two wildcards. Division winners will be ranked 1 and 2, wildcards ranked 3 and 4. Tie breakers are the following: 1. Division record 2. Points 3. Gives commish the most money (possible this could move up to 1st tie breaker) Week 14 will be divisional playoffs and week 15 will be Superbowl. And as always for you bottom dwellers (no names mention, but typically have the suckiest suck that ever sucked that could suck names) will get to continue to play for respect in the Toilet Bowl - this is for the bottom four teams. The middle four teams, you weren't good, you didn't suck, you get time off to re-group and re-think that mediocre strategy you implemented this year and come out swinging next year.
I'm pretty sure last year that 6 teams made the playoffs. Which is why I played 3 playoffs games, and why we end the season at week 13 (so that you can play 3 weeks of playoffs and still avoid the crappiness of Week 17). It was WC1 v. WC4, WC2 v. WC3 in week 1 with the division winners getting bye weeks. Week 2 was WC1/4 winner vs. Division Champ 2, WC2/3 winner vs. Division Champ 1.
I think you are right wise one!!!! That makes much more sense!!!! I will now go with Dorthy to find the Oz to get a brain!!! I knew that everyone continued playing, some for the Superbowl and some for the Toiletbowl, but couldn't put it together............
Rook - its kind of a piece of **** move for you to accept that trade after finding out today that Brown was out for the year.
#1. I did not know he was out for the year, last I heard he was out just for this week, but was still getting more opinions. #2 you offered the trade to me yesterday I took it because I needed help as all my RB are down this week and took the gamble....... If he is really out for the year (granted that was part of the gamble I believe you were taking), I can re-do it.........
Ok. I checked yesterday and he was listed as "questionable", then today he was suddenly ruled out for the year. My mistake if you didn't see all the reports that said he was out for the year.
Your right he is out for the year and you are right, that would be a ***** move, whether if I knew about it or not - for the record, I did not see that he was out (which sux cause he is on both of my teams). So I took it all back, and I think all the players are back on the right teams, and I dropped Ronnie, so you can pick him up for free now.............
Wow, I know it's too little, too late.....but I just won with Kurt Warner scoring 0 for me! (had no other QB to use and I didn't know he was going to be out) Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay me! And I have a 4 game winning streak along with my 1st division win! Hoooooooooooooooray for beer!
