The best part for me is watching all these posters assume heypartner will be allowed to post here by the end of the season.

Or the start of the season for that matter.

First off, I don't know WHERE you got this. It wasn't "the admins" that emailed you. You emailed ME about getting together. I tried to set something up through the Rockets for it, but it was a nightmare. You sent me an email saying, "I can set something up at Kenneally's. Let me. It'll be cool." We all thought SOMETHING would be fun, but you were the one that proposed Kenneally's. You were the one hell-bent on getting it done. You have a tendency towards hell-bent-edness, so whatever.

Clutch and I were the one's that nearly killed one another trying to figure out how to get tickets. Nobody thanked us or called us "assholes" either, but who the hell cares? It's just a basketball game. Maybe it's just me but, chasing you and Jamcracker all over Compaq Center trying to find every last possible member of the BBS at the game so we can get group photo and stand around looking awkward isn't my idea of fun.

Personally, I don't get this whole serious vs. joking thing anyway. The whole thing seems pretty damn stupid. It's like a pack of 10-year-olds using their inside joke to make other kids look dumb for not getting it. It's a waste of time and space and I'm NOT joking.

    fresh news.

According to Tim, the 4/12 game is a Rabid Fan Photo Night thing. The first 1,000 fans wearing face paint get a photo opp with the Players after the game. (man, maybe it's not a good idea to bring our wives, afterall). He said they are probably going to allow anybody that looks Rabid, though--face paint might not be required. The specific plan is to support Rabidness this year.

anyhow, he also said these dates are preliminary and technically could change. So, ignore my suggestions for naming the group around a player. It probably doesn't matter at this point.

as for everything else in this thread, game or not, understood or not...this is still a sincere info thread....and this is a sincere wedding party that is difficult to organize because 1/3 of the people wanted $46 tickets, 1/3 $34 ,and 1/3 $20. You can't please everyone, take time to vote, promote it wildly, and still get a good block of tickets. You can't get discounts in multiple sections, either. I'm actually very amazed how everyone's been so easy and agreeing. That is a testamount to how much everyone is amazed Smeggy would come here on his honeymoon, and we all want to meet him.

    Let's not forget that.

    cheers

I for one would like to thanks HeyPartner for organising this and if the b*stard had ever sent me the 3OT Pacers game i would have thanked him too!!!!

As for the group name, we all know which player I want to meet (actually one suspects he wants to meet me), how about

    Smeg's DownUnder Cuttino Club

As HeyPartner is buying my tickets till i get there i suppose i have minimal say in the cost but i suppose the front rows of the upper bowl would be my preference and somewhere on the sideline closer to middle would be great and for me isn't a huge factor.

For me history is important, it is amazing to think CC.net has lasted this long, what a great thing, must place alot of pressure on the servers that have been used over the years and the people that have had to look after them, what a great job they do, perhaps without them we wouldn't have lasted the last season.

so...even we all the crazy tangents...we have a wrap.

    Smeg's DownUnder Cuttino Club

    it is.

I'm glad I didn't have to make that decision. btw: I want to apologize to the completely innocent CriscoKidd...he isn't "mean" looking really; it is just the way he told me how people describe him. I was completely out of line using him in my fake flaming....not that he complained about it...but I'd feel like a dork if I emailed him to double check whether or not I offended him.

Crisco is the king of cc.net pick-up ball, and his wife is coming to Houston with him, again, to snuff SmeggyBall and all that international crap. I can't wait!!!

For what i have seen Crisco has the fake Mean look about him, the goatee covers up the marshmallow under the thumb interior and the jumper looks as ugly as i have seen and from all accounts is a blackhole.......... the international game will win!!!!

Ok, I simply can't help but ask...Why did you feel the need to drag up a ten day old thread just to pile on? All of us got the point ten days ago. This thread was 13 pages deep.

I didn't know it was 10 days old (didn't look at the dates). I had only seen Clutch's signature and did a search for "socially r****ded" to understand where the quote was from, that's how I got to the thread. Sorry about pulling an old thread up again.

Exactly what I was thinking. I'm glad to see that I was not the only one who thought that dragging this thread back to the top was pointless.

Pointless my butt, this World Tour will be MASSIVE!!!!!

"the pot calling the kettle black" is also a phrase worth remembering and "you shouldn't throw stones in glasshouses" is also important.
